Stick him on a stage and that's his stand-up act. Sit him down with Letterman and that's an interview with Robin. Fallon got the mannerisms down perfectly, but Robin was faster, often more obscene, and he genuinely loved everyone in the audience.

What makes these so damn hilarious is how and why did they ever decide to have Alex Tribek and Sean Connery have a rivalry? So funny!
It was originally Burt “Turd Ferguson” Reynolds until Norm MacDonald was fired. Hammond’s Sean Connery already showed signs of animosity toward Trebek in the early sketches and it turned out to be just as funny or even funnier when it was Sean Connery doing the heckling.
@@LexTan I'm glad it worked out that way. Norm MacDonald's Burt Reynolds was funny but Daryl Hammond as Sean Connery was way funnier.

@@typhoidpaddy1244 that's quite how most parts of impressions are made. They mock the character, and sometimes that makes it funnier.

I have to admit, Jimmy can do some really good impressions. His Adam Sandler and Robin Williams are excellent!
