You were right.. it's dedicated to her friends .. hara, sulli and jonghyun.
I love the song.. It has that nice summer song with great vibes. However, true to our Min PD signature, even with great 'happy' beats, the song has a very meaningful and deep meaning. All of us can relate to that feeling and both Yoongi and Jieun have done a great job at the lyrics. Worthy of no 1 song of the charts!
IU is a goddess. And I am attracted not only for her gorgeous look but also her beautiful mind.
Suga produce and co-wrote with IU! I’m so proud of both.
Thank you for mentioning Suga Min PD as a Producer and Composer. I love how informative you are of that fact 👍 Most people tend to forget or maybe unaware of Suga's role in this song wasnt jst "featuring". Hugs 💜

i re watched the MV a few times and found out SUGA is in the MV. he is in the plane with IU and Suga's holding a phone playing Eight song (the other hand, theres army ring on his finger) :D

That moment on the airplane when you find out the girl on white dress is not IU.😢 IU was inside the plane and she looked at sully they saw each other, and jonghyun(charmander/lizard to dragon) finally free from burdens of 3rd dimension suffering. IU loves implementing dimensions in her videos. The song was short and cut suddenly on purpose symbolizing how life can end without a warning.
