The motor is a Honda GC160 tricked out by machining the flywheel and adding a "Flat Head" look to the top. The clutch is a standard style centrifugal clutch on a jack shaft that is where the pedal crank is. I found bearings that fit from Northern Tool. The bearings slid right into the existing bearing cups.
Using this video as a beginning point for my build. I have the bike now, getting the engine this payday. I possess most of the tools already. All that is needed is workspace.
Ok. Now I can understand the engine. The push rod tubes on a flathead n all had me stumped as well as all the rest of your engine. I had in my mind been thinking of a wAy to use a modern ignition coil but have it look Vintage. Your dummy spark plug in the top aludes the working plug as well as the ugly stamped valve cover. Those Honda and Clonda as I call them are most reliable but just look to modern. You have made a Kool cover that really looks functional and 1900's ish. I'm sure if you made just the engine dress up as a kit you would pay for a small cnc mill in a hurry. Thanks for some great ideas.
Mike, this bike and video is really inspirstional. Im currently looking to do a similar project to make a board tracker styled road legal bike. Dont suppose you would be able to do a quick video explaining what you done to the aesthetics of the engine? Thanks - Matt
Nice build bro, i would like to speak with ya in private, cos ive got a bike more less like that but i dont know how to put my centrifugal clutch working in that way , soo if you can answer this i would appreciate that mate Anyway real Nice bike 🤯🤯😁
awesome build, did you guys have to machine the flywheel smooth to get rid of the cooling fins? Also is the governor still in place with the carb upgrades?
Brother, nice work but I also need clutch as well as engine explanation. PLEASE just tell me the name and manufacturer of the engine and the tranny too. You'd change my life if so. I currently have advanced lung cancer, I have two Triumph Bonnevilles. Both 1973 models. One is bone stock and the other is a Streettracker I placed my soul into and spent 2 whopping years ti build. But I do not want just another trendy motorized bike but rather a board track style replica. forgive my sob story but I am dying, And I have not a clue how much time I have left. But before I perish, I at least want to build one more bike and make it one like yours, Such a thing would put a little joy in what's let of my life. If yu do not wish to reply here on TH-cam, please ket me know and I will send you my e-mail address. Again, great work! I hope you will contact me. Thanks ... Jason
hyy, Im building my own board track I´m from argentina, could yo tell me how yo made the transmission, the clutch and the bearing system, I would really appreciate your healp. thanks a lot, if you have an email I can send you pictures of my indian. thanks a lot its really cool what you did.
