Todd Zeile played 16 seasons and finished with over 250 HRs and 1100 RBI. Not HOF or even all star level, but definitely not a bust.
Zeile was the player I decided to collect rookie cards of. The other was David Nied. Not good at picking players to chase.
The randy moss and peyton manning rookies were the best thing in that small baggy. Pretty decent cards for sure
It also was a Warren Sapp Rookie in there too.
Not that it’s valuable but that Modano was a rookie card. One of the best American players to ever play in the NHL.
While working for 1800gotjunk, I cleaned out and threw away a massive storage locker full of unopened 90s hockey and football cards cause the guy said they weren't valuable anymore(they still had some value, especially 1990 score(Jagr, Sundin, Broudeur) albeit not much).
Millions and millions of cards. O pee Chee, score, pro set, topps, upper deck. The locker was full and all got incinerated. That was a serious, serious chunk of the 90s hockey/football print run going away. I shoulda video taped it, maybe the value woulda spiked a little. Cases and cases of cards out of circulation, I wonder how many other people have done the same thing.
Anthony Jackson. I think they still made way too much of it for that locker to put a dent in the print run. It’s an interesting story tho. I think RCs from the early 90s will only have value if they’re graded very high (PSA 10, BGS 9.5). There are a lot of miscut, poorly centered cards from the early 90s. Sometimes the edges are rough right out of the pack. Some people probably didn’t protect raw copies very well because they are such low value.
@@drewv1747 yeah, I managed to get a few Jagr, Sundin, Belfour, Broudeur, Richter, Kovalov, Bure, Amonte, Nolan rookies before they were gone, but still lots went away. Got a couple Lemieux 2nd year cards too, so that's cool. Also found a box with 5 Yzerman rookies that look to be a 9 or 10. A seriously great find. Along with a bunch of signed North Stars stuff. Signed pictures of Modano and Mike Gartner... The guy really hooked me up. But in all seriousness. I'd love to see that guys personal collection. Told me he has had multiple gretzky's and Lemieux, and I believe him.

Hard to believe seeing those Dale Murphy cards that he isn't in the HOF. 2 MVPs, 4 silver slugger & 5 gold gloves. He owned the 80s.
Wish I had more card shops in my area. The binder had a few nice cards. I like the randy Johnson RC.

The 1970 Clemente was a great find! Any Clemente card is great.
That was a really nice pickup. A lot of good bgs graded cards for only five bucks. All in all this has beaten the Vintage Mystery Pack video. The card shop visit was a better turnout.

I wish we had card stores like this in Texas!! Lucky we do have a few smaller stores I just have to drive over 2 hours, and the deals aren’t the best 😥

I remember so vividly when I started collecting and those display cases contained all regular issue singles. No inserts, no game used, no autos. I remember seeing that Canseco 86 donruss selling for 80 bucks, the 89 UD Griffey selling for 80, and when UD started inserting holograms.....oh man! Such good memories of my childhood in baseball card shops.
Man I loved finding those UD holograms.

Those 87 Topps Greenwells would have been a good find back in the day. He had a solid career.

I have that robinson/Santo card autographed by Santo underneath old cinergy field...santo signed forever even though he was an amputee and struggling by that point... it would be so cool to get brooks on it but I doubt that is possible at this point

Jabs, I don't know if anybody else has ever said this before, but when you open up your videos with that "Hey everybody", all I can think of is Will Ferrell doing Harry Caray on SNL. lol It's great!

That Mike Modano card from the hockey pack is a Rookie! He is my all time favorite hockey player congrats on that one!
The North Stars gave it away. I remember when they moved to Dallas.

@@Blue6R505 I am from Minnesota and have two copies of all his rookie cards autographed(so about 10 total). He's a great guy. Got a signed picture too. Dallas stole our team though then won a Cup immediately after. We have some strong feelings towards Dallas and the Stars.

I had a sticker book in the 80s and could never find the Nolan Ryan sticker. My mom thought it would be cool to cut to size my 75 Topps Nolan Ryan to complete it. Sad.

Wow, that makes me sad that all of those cards and that binder were some kids prized possession at the time and here it is picked through and sold for under $20.
The 2 graded cards by Beckett was cool buy.
To get cards graded by Beckett you'll have to pay 12 to 13.00 a card

Nice to see someone appreciate Bonds. Yes, he was on steriods, along with most of the league, and was the best of the best. Taking steriods alone don't make you better. You still have to put in the work
The Woolworth box is great! The mission valley woolworth by jack murphy stadium was one of the first places I got cards at. The Mike Modano rookie is nice too!

At 9:11 there was a 1986 William Perry "The Refrigerator" that's worth quite a sum in mint.

1988 Topps set was not factory sealed. I don’t think they started shrink wrapping sets until 1990, but I could be wrong.
I'm a big collector of football and basketball. I wish I could have them cards especially that Warren moon I always liked him
That Clemente was a steal.
My first card set was the 88 TOPPS. A christmas gift from my dad. He passed away last year, and the set was lost when my fiance lost the storage unit. My 89 Upper Deck set was in there along with a 98 or 99 French Upper Deck set
That was my card shop when I was growing up.

That was my lcs when I lived in MD, went there a lot. Pulled a GU Jackie Robinson pants card years ago from there from the UD World Series set. Great stuff!

Also....is it me or was Beckett a little tough on that McGuire grade? 🤪 IMO a card grade of 4.5 probably shouldn't have EX+ printed anywhere near it.
Would be cool to see if the Shaq RC was among those 92 Hoops cards. Worth about $300 in a PSA 10

Those '81 stickers were pretty hot that year. I remember the foils went for about 50c each and the whole set went $20-25.
