Dived the pond back in the 70s while home on leave, remember a lot of big fresh water mussels lying around on the bottom, was only there about 30 minutes then a couple of fine police constables showed up and told me politely to sling my hook. 😆
@@tonysmith-tg1yk I don't recall seeing any fish but fresh water fish tend to be timid and breathing makes a fair bit of noise. Depth as far as I remember near the middle I got to about 30 feet on my gauge, below was a further 10-20 feet as far as I could see but it was grey and murky below that depth so did not see bottom other than a few vague shapes like a weed coated shopping trolley. There were a lot of fresh water mussels so took a few home. At a ball park figure would say around 60 feet at most.
@@LeeRaldar that’s interesting thanks I’ve heard stories of big bream and perch being in there not that you can get in to fish it but the place has always interested me
I use to fish there a guy called Terry ran it I've had massive bream and perch ,I had a really crap pair of scales but I remember weight in one bream over 9 pound I would love to fish it again .if you use a feeder you could count to 30/40 seconds till you hit bottom.
Thumbs up from me really enjoyed the flight, getting more confident now..
Is there a way in? Or is it shut off?
