    This is beautiful and encouraging for Christian stay-at-home moms. It's not always easy to be confident that we are doing all the right things. I love what you said about it being ok to make mistakes. Thanks for sharing Meredith.

      Aw thank you!! I couldn’t agree more. It’s so easy to second guess ourselves but we have to look to God’s word for guidance and listen to the Holy Spirit’s convictions as He guides us instead of looking to the world and what outside influences tell us about how to raise our kids.

    Teaching our kids early about God and what the Word says is key.

    I love this! My yougest won't go to bed without me singing Jesus loves me. It has become a routine right after our night time prayers. It is basically part of our prayer.

    I love that your a traditional Christian who loves hymns and the word. It’s so edifying and fills you with wisdom. Modern Christianity usually fuels the emotions and leads to foolish actions because the lack of wisdom.
    Keep up the good work.

    ❤ ✝ ❤ Amen & amen!
    On the encouragement about "do not be anxious about anything", I used to worry a lot about "What if my children don't follow Christ when they grow up...", "What if my children dive deep into sin when they grow up...", and it would hinder my life so much and make me feel so down and afraid.
    Then one day, I heard my pastor say, "Do not raise your children in fear- raise them in faith!" And that was just what I needed to hear, to stop me from worrying so much "What if... what if...", and just presently do what I know to do, and PRAY & TRUST GOD!
    A helpful resource I have enjoyed, is;
    Seeds Family Worship (Scripture Songs)

    Also, two other resources that are so helpful for Christian parents, are;

    This confirmed a lot for me... I had asked God how to impact the home and I got a similar response... It is difficult to think it is not enough to counter what this world throws at us and the kids... But His ways are higher. A big one was teaching the kids through nature, trees, flowers, stars, like the psalm says, it's voice goes out. Another is scripture songs, singing scripture. I came across Scripture songs on youtube, th-cam.com/users/emui. And it had been an answered prayer to how could I memorize scripture. At first God had pointed me to church camp songs of scripture and nudged me to ask, why not just sing little one verse melodies? So I would memorize verses with one verse melodies. Then I was challenged to just sing psalms, however it came. And finding Scripture Songs just helped and gave me encouragement. It had worked better than I expected because the ear picks up farther than the eye at times and I started to hear one verse melodies in the house. It's awesome. Another is art work or framed scripture around the house, just puts the memory there, and to have it prayed every time it is in sight. It can be useful when you put specific scripture in certain rooms of the house that sticks and to have prayed over the home and family. For example the armor of God when getting dressed, etc. And yes reading and commenting on the bible app with friends and family and keeping in touch with family, the support is really good. Like ecclesiasts, its better to have two because when one falls the other lifts them up and a three strand chord is not quickly broken. Another fun on with older kids is to have them make their own melodies to verses, it makes it personal and sticks in the memory. Thank you. I learned a lot. Mostly with letting your kids know that God loves them perfectly, and that parents are not perfect and still sin from time to time. At times Parents can mean perfection and it just gives some room for understanding and grace from the child's perspective. Thank you for the song recommendation as well.
