After researching saws for firewood it quickly became very clear that the CS620P is the absolute best value in professional 60cc saws. There is not a Stihl nor Husqvarna 60cc saw that can touch it for $625+/-! Anything comparable is at least $200 more.
    Thanks for the videos!

I’ve ran my 620 for years and it has been a great saw. Echo runs 15% sales once a year. Brings the price of the saw down to low $500. There an absolute steal at that price. Thanks for watching.

A airbox mode, muffler job, 15 tanks of gas, and tune really make these 2 wake up. A port and they are ass kickers, especially the 620. A 680 with all the mods plus a port and bored to 75cc would be so epic!

I just came in from finishing up a large white oak. I purchased a new cs-620pw 24" in march, also a cs-2511T. We have a lot of large oaks that I have been clearing up. I know it sounds crazy but I should have bought the 7310PW. Granted I did not do a muffler mod, but I find more power would be nice. On paper this saw should be plenty for me. Even the Dealer said it would be plenty of saw for our needs. I broke my own code of rural living, "find out what you think you need, then buy two levels up". I thought the 7310 would be too heavy, however with the little top handle saw I can save a lot of fatigue in the trim work. If you are processing a lot of trees, go bigger.

The bigger the tree, the more torque and horsepower you need! My 7310 does well in big wood. It really lets you lean on it and not bog down. Thanks for watching.

That 620 needs sharpening big time. I was wondering why it was cutting so slow until I saw it throwing powder. Thank you for these videos I wish there was more content about echos especially the 620p because with a muffler mod it outcuts alottttt of higher end saws. Take care!

Glad you are happy with making the jump to the 620. I’ve ran mine hard and never had a problem yet. Thanks for watching.

I've been thinking about getting a 620 to pair with my Stihl MS661 and MS881. I need a smaller saw, but I don't want one that's too small with what I'm cutting.

If your used to the big dog saws, then these might seem less desirable. But for the money they are the best 60cc saws on the market. Perfect for limping and firewood. All depends on the size and type of wood. Thanks for watching.

I bought a 680 last year, I go with the cubes, displacement counts. The wimp bucking spikes can be replaced with custom, the manual oiler is a holdover from down through the decades when they were standard along with the auto oilers, it is still a desirable feature for many reasons. The 680 is not a hot rod but it is a solid and dependable performer and will work all day long with no problems, for me a winning combination

I agree. I expect mine to last a lifetime of firewood cutting. Thanks for watching.

    Is the 680 being discontinued?
    I have a 7310 …. I only use it for firewood. I like it!
    Great video, thank you

The rumor I heard from my dealer is they are going to get harder to find. With all the push toward electric, it makes since the older model saws are going to get terminated. Thanks for watching.

I agree with you. Do let me know if you ever find a set of dogs that will mount on the 680👍🏻

Great review! Maybe a little more commentary about ergos, balance and anti-vibe characteristics.

Nice video. You may want to re-think your workbench layout so the bench doesn't obstruct access to your electric service panel. Your electrician will thank you.

I hear ya. I need to build a bigger work bench too. Seems to fill up with stuff real quick. Thanks for watching.

Most do their best to do down Echo saws .To me it's anti Japanese technology .Not too long ago the same thing was said about Japanese cars ,They've put out decent saws x decent cars ,That's all good .And im guessing both Husquva and Stil aren't exactly happy over the prices ,pulping theirs to bits .

Yeah, I’ve always had good luck with Japanese products. My echos have not disappointed. Thanks for watching.
