This was great, I've wanted to engage this type of photography and this video has enticed me to begin planning my return to my passion of the art form. Thank you
Great video very well presented! One thing I think that contributed to making your job with the water drops less consistent is that the various cords seem to be two short and seem to be vibrating the set up. It's not your fault but it looks like "Rube Goldberg" set up. I had a set up once that sold a time machine type device for water drops and the man manufactured various sized cords that allowed for more relaxed set ups. MIOPS should really get onto that and the user ease would go WAY UP in total success rate. I hope this idea resonates with you or helps you in some way. Thanks. You did a great job working with the limitations of MIOPS.
very nice tuto. what is the shutter speed (F11 iso 400 and 1sec ?) ? i don't understand the connections. with pluto trigger everbody seems to say the camera trigger by pluto with xpro on camera is not consistent and advise to connect pluto to flash (only one is possible, not sure slaves are working) and pointing pluto IR to the IR detetcor of camera. here you deal with a mix between xpro and 1 or 2 cables coming from valve (there is no "pluto trigger" in miops if i unerstand, everything is in valve ?)
Nice tutorial so therer are a couple of new things to try on my end. Unfortunately I don't see a bulb on my Canon 7D mkII so I will continue to play with the variables. Thanks, Ronn! Update, found bulb.
Glad to hear you found it! Thanks for the feedback. If anyone else is looking for "bulb" on Canon or Sony, it' the longest shutter speed setting, just past 30 seconds.
hello, just purchased the new miops. unfortunately the flash cables 3.5mm (miops) to pc sync are not compatible with ad300 pro and godox V1 :-( I need to find a 3.5-3.5mm for ad300 pro and a 3.5/2.5 cable for V1. Why do you say triggering flash in dark room by miops with camera set to bulb mode by miops (so two cables used) were not consistent ? camera is open for 1sec and so can't miss any light event. Strange you connect miops to xpro2 to trigger flashes instead of connecting to one flash and using second flash as IR slave. I would have been afraid to send two pc sync to xpro (other one by camera hot shoe). But also the connector on xpro N is not pc sync but again 2.5mm. so can't use miops flash cable.
I have bien using this device for a week on camera trigger mode .but there is no consistency eventhough I am using the same setting .. any helpful tips ?
Settings are going to be quite dependent on your individual camera and flash as well. Height of the Miops and drop size makes a "big impact" as well. Be sure to start with the recommendations from Miops for those things and then fine tune fro there. As noted in the video, once we found the right combo, we got the most consistent results from using "Rear-Curtain Flash Sync" at 1/200th second and triggering the flash at it's lowest power output. Timing and drop size took a little fine tuning from the base Miops settings but once we got it dialed in, it went really well. Also, check to see if you have the USB powered model with the latest firmware. The older battery powered unit, was less consistent in our testing.

Great video and review, thank you 🙏 ………
Many thanks for this demonstration. Will make using the kit a lot easier.
Glad it was helpful!
A really useful tutorial having just purchased the Miops kit. Many tips to apply to my workflow in future use of the kit - thanks
Great to hear!

Very good
I just got one and am using this video as a starting point.
Awesome video review, thanks a lot.
My pleasure! Thanks Francis.
자세한 설명 감사합니다.
Thank you! :-)
Does the device come with the magic arm and the two orange sync cables? Great vid, thanks!
Yes it does

I would like to buy this set but currently I have camera a SONY a7IV and somehow I don't know what cable I need to buy and which socket to use.
Contact the folks at Miops. They'll be able to assist you in getting the correct cable.

Hi. I found this kit, but it does not seem that there are cables for different cameras included. I have a Nikon D500. What cables do I need ?
How can you tell which version you're buying if you're buying online?
Can you add more drops, or is 2 the max?
Great question! You can add up to 4 drops I believe.

Do I need to use a speedlight. I want to use my stand alone lights that are not connected to my camera
If you’re referring to “hot lights” unfortunately they will not work.
How are you able to use high speed on your cell to catch the water drop and use the Mobile app at the same time?
Partners cell phone.
Does your camera need WiFi to use it as a trigger?
Nope. It uses the camera's shutter release port.
