Yes and no. 50/50 means you do half of 100% and she does half of 100%. I understand both 50/50 and 100/100. I get it. But percentages only go to 100%. So when someone says that relationships are 50/50 it means you both do what you need to do to make a whole relationship. But that woman is also right in that each person needs to do 100% of their part of the relationship.

Sometimes it’s in reverse, I’m a brother of 3 brother and 1 sister and our mom abandoned us to go with another man in another state years ago. I had to take care of my siblings going to school and then I realized how hard and expensive it is when at the time you’re making active duty army pay at the rank of E-3(which is really low). We never heard from our mom again, we don’t know where she is, but it is for the best that we don’t know.
I smiled through this whole thing. My husband and I are both total nerds. We still game together and watch anime. It's sad that this kind of connection isn't common in relationships. Why be together if you don't have genuine interests and want to make each other happy? I couldn't be with someone who isn't my best friend. These days everyone is trying to have the upper hand in their own relationship so it's a constant battle. Sounds exhausting and not worth it.

The lady who talked about getting 100% from both sides really spoke to me, because in my relationship I make sure my boyfriend feels emotionally secure, that he can chase his dreams and I'll support and encourage him, just like he does for me. But at the same time I do expect him to bring into our family what I'm gonna bring, that when I'm tired he can cook a meal for us, or if we need to clean a house together we can do that. It's about balance between the couple, not just splitting everything and then whining about one not helping or not keeping up with the other.
Let me sprinkle on some reality on that though. It's good to want, work and strive for 100. The reality is that in the long term, you will be a measley 5. Your man will be a measley 5. So what do ya do? When both of you are at 5/5? Because it's inevitable. People do get to 5/5. I learned to lean on Christ. Christ is merciful, loving, forgiving and keeps it 100. Christ is the rock. The source of love. So you can choose love even when both of y'all are embarrassingly at 5/5. Everyone talks big at bringing their A game, but hide their shame to the world. They don't show their F-game. Only their A-game. Well God knows when we all been petty. That's the reality. When we're at 5/5 Christ comes in, comforts, forgives, teaches and edifies people in prayer. Without that people live uncomfortable and untaught. It crumbles. Christ don't crumble. All Jesus ways are built to be a foundation of love to everyone in our lives. So even if we are 5, we are made strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you because my strength is made perfect in weakness." So when you and yours are in F-game mode. Don't lose hope. Because one man already brought his A-game. And thankfully we don't have to bring our A-game. Christ accepts and forgives all of us if we truly believe.
I've been with the same woman for 22 years. The secret is there is no secret. You will disagree, argue, and it's not all sunshine and rainbows. What matters is how you deal with obstacles TOGETHER. She drove me out to pick it up, she did all the paperwork, then she followed behind me in her car while I got used to it so I would feel safe riding it on the highway. Mint M&Ms, for the formerly running joke of 'Le Mint', and because she has anorexia, so eating anything is better than nothing and she likes M&Ms, a necklace that just barely within what I could afford because she said she wanted something, and a hand written card I drew, wrote and decorated. 11 months ago I left a (20+ year) marriage which I had been trying to save for a long as I can remember. I was completely broken, borderline suicidal, a shadow of my former self. I was very wary about women's motives and sceptical about opportunities that arose. So I focused on myself and getting me back to the best me I could be. 3 months ago I met someone who has changed my life, she is beautiful, funny, interesting, generous and we have incredible chemistry. Our relationship is perfect, both giving 100% into it. Neither of us want anything but will give everything. Not afraid to admit that I tear up when I see these kinds of vids. People thinking of me (besides Mom) is so rare that if someone gave me just a pack of gum because they were thinking of me, I'd feel almost like these guys. It takes time to truly learn how to love selflessly and it is NOT an easy process. But when ya learn how to truly love and pray, it's a game changer. We all face these challenges. We all get ignored. We all get mistreated or go unappreciated. I learned it matters not. It's better to love, give than to receive. Hope it helps somehow.

As a woman, this is exactly what I think. The moment 1 individual in a couple behaves or feels that they're above the other individual, then that's not a relationship. That's a power dynamic. Can we get more! I damn near cried happy tears at these gestures. My girl treats me amazing! Literally, I got into a car accident from being sleep deprived couple days ago. She came over the following evening offered to cook. I told her she didn't have to. Later that night she left alone to grab food but wouldn't let me go with because she wanted me to rest. Next day after she spent the night, she made my bed in the morning and dropped off lunch. It's only been 4 months. I will certainly marry this woman. She checks all the boxes, literally paegent model (literal dime), cooperative, feminine, strong loyalty, expecting a lifetime relationship, come from a good family, I can go on and on. We both been sprung since day one. They're still out there gentlemen. We have become our best selves. Our best other is out there if we search in the right places.

Sometimes it’s in reverse, I’m a brother of 3 brother and 1 sister and our mom abandoned us to go with another man in another state years ago. I had to take care of my siblings going to school and then I realized how hard and expensive it is when at the time you’re making active duty army pay at the rank of E-3(which is really low). We never heard from our mom again, we don’t know where she is, but it is for the best that we don’t know.
I smiled through this whole thing. My husband and I are both total nerds. We still game together and watch anime. It's sad that this kind of connection isn't common in relationships. Why be together if you don't have genuine interests and want to make each other happy? I couldn't be with someone who isn't my best friend. These days everyone is trying to have the upper hand in their own relationship so it's a constant battle. Sounds exhausting and not worth it.

Yes, there are good women out there and they deserve good men.
The lady who talked about getting 100% from both sides really spoke to me, because in my relationship I make sure my boyfriend feels emotionally secure, that he can chase his dreams and I'll support and encourage him, just like he does for me. But at the same time I do expect him to bring into our family what I'm gonna bring, that when I'm tired he can cook a meal for us, or if we need to clean a house together we can do that. It's about balance between the couple, not just splitting everything and then whining about one not helping or not keeping up with the other.

Everyone talks big at bringing their A game, but hide their shame to the world. They don't show their F-game. Only their A-game.
Well God knows when we all been petty.
That's the reality.
When we're at 5/5 Christ comes in, comforts, forgives, teaches and edifies people in prayer.
Without that people live uncomfortable and untaught. It crumbles.

All Jesus ways are built to be a foundation of love to everyone in our lives.
So even if we are 5, we are made strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you because my strength is made perfect in weakness."
So when you and yours are in F-game mode. Don't lose hope. Because one man already brought his A-game. And thankfully we don't have to bring our A-game. Christ accepts and forgives all of us if we truly believe.
I've been with the same woman for 22 years. The secret is there is no secret. You will disagree, argue, and it's not all sunshine and rainbows. What matters is how you deal with obstacles TOGETHER. Never give up on love and love will become strong, strong, strong. Love and loyalty can conquer anything!

Not afraid to admit that I tear up when I see these kinds of vids. People thinking of me (besides Mom) is so rare that if someone gave me just a pack of gum because they were thinking of me, I'd feel almost like these guys. I tend to be skeptical if someone does and I guess a small part of me feels I'm not worthy or don't deserve such treatment. Been this way my entire life really.

Can we get more! I damn near cried happy tears at these gestures. My girl treats me amazing! Literally, I got into a car accident from being sleep deprived couple days ago. She came over the following evening offered to cook. I told her she didn't have to. Later that night she left alone to grab food but wouldn't let me go with because she wanted me to rest. Next day after she spent the night, she made my bed in the morning and dropped off lunch.
It's only been 4 months. I will certainly marry this woman. She checks all the boxes, literally paegent model (literal dime), cooperative, feminine, strong loyalty, expecting a lifetime relationship, come from a good family, I can go on and on. We both been sprung since day one. They're still out there gentlemen. We have become our best selves. Our best other is out there if we search in the right places.

My wife treats me like a king for sure, I've been dealing with health issues for years and haven't been able to work for over four years and her love and generosity is unending. I'm waiting on a life changing surgery, and I will reciprocate ten fold. BTW we are in our early 50's, the best advise I can give to those who could use it is, pick your battles, sometimes you have to listen to things you don't want to hear, or do things you don't want to do, but at the end of the day she's happy and you are the f**kin man! And even though I'm disabled I do everything I can around the house including cooking, I love cooking. If she's the one your kindness will garner kindness from her. Don't simp, but without love and kindness what's the point?
