I've heard that aged actors snapped to their old selves when they stepped onto the stage. However they didn't do anything new. Just their old self. Trump may show energy but it will likely be combative bluster not well structured. Judt his same old act.

I would say the defense mishandled the start of the cross, by claiming that the Miedas Touch merch. was MC's. They didn't do their homework. That would have been easily fact checked beforehand.

Michael Cohen wasn’t the vendor, the owner of the merchandise, but he was literally selling it by saying on shows ‘buy this’.

If the defense opens the door of Cohen not liking Trump, doesn't that allow the prosecution to then let Cohen explain WHY he doesn't like Trump? Which lets them talk about things like Cohen being placed in solitary by Trump's DOJ because he wouldn't drop the book.
I don't think the prosecution needs to bring it up. It has to be extremely clear to the jury by now and you would think that they would agree it's justified. By now the jury probably hates Trump as well.

A great prosecution can make a case, but a bad defense will utterly destroy one. It's absolutely nuts that a wealthy, former president cannot retain competent counsel.
Trump’s counsel is competent Trump isn’t.
I know of one lawyer that quit because he said Rump wanted him to lie for him. This was right after the 2020 election debacle.
He couldn’t retain anyone decent in his administration either. He always ended up with the bottom of the barrel, cut price yes men.

I think he wants to lose, thinks if he goes to jail his "people" will rise up in the streets and he'll be raised to king. I know, this is probably just my imagination and fear talking. It just makes no sense to run a defense this way. We have not seen what he and his cronies want to create yet.

I don't think he wants to lose, but he will use a loss that way. His followers are following a different trial, where each cross has been fantastic and each witness has been a disaster for the prosecution, and there has not even been a crime named! Given that diet of information, of course they will think it must have been a fix. There has been very little coverage of the trial, or any of his trials, by Trump-leaning lawyers. What coverage there is is so biased it is almost beyond belief. Many commenters are convinced Cannon postponed the trial because Smith tampered with documents.

Eh? That's the point of the trial, to establish guilt or innocence.
That's pretty well it. In the American legal system, 90% of prosecutions end up as guilty. I mean, if those being prosecuted aren't guilty to start with. There's no point having them there. However, that said. Some are simply selected and jailed because someone has to be.
It's a political assassination attempt. That's why he's in court.
I want him in jail BADLY, but that's just a silly question. If everyone in court was guilty, we wouldn't need trials. He's there for the prosecution to prove his guilt. Until then, he's innocent as a matter of law.
