  • Hello friends!
    In today's video I share my experience with shoot Kodak Gold 200 on 120mm and 35mm to see the results! Everything I shot was in Tuscany Italy because I thought the landscape would be the best place to display what Gold looks like in both small and medium formats! I hope you enjoy!

    Just found the film stock for my upcoming trip to Lago Maggiore. Thank you! Was looking at Ektar (a tad slow) and Portra 160 (a bit washed out). This seems to hit the spot, and half the price of the others too!
    Edit to add: What's that on the top of your Canonet? Looks like a light meter?

    • @just_a_guy
      @just_a_guy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree! I love Gold for all those reasons that you pointed out. The color pallet fits Italy especially well I think! Yes its a TTartisans light meter because my canonet has bad electronics in it. Im glad this video was helpful for you and happy shooting mate!

    Very cool video, it's awesome that you played disc golf in the mountains of Italy! I love disc golf! The film comparison was really cool too :)

    Awesome video man! I’ve just started shooting with Kodak 200 Gold. Any tips?
    And what do you think about shooting with 120mm cameras? I have an AE-1 Program and I love it :)

    Awesome vid! One time I was going through airport security and this agent told me he was a big film photographer back in the day. My Mamiya rz67 had him smiling from ear to ear I could see how passionate he was. It reminds me of that interaction that you had with the French man.

    This is the creative that you have ever done because it is the best. I wish I could help you to do TH-cam fulltime. You have this glow that I have ever saw. I came across your TH-cam channel and I was blown away, so I was wondering if I can help you to do TH-cam.

    Any tips on flying internationally with film? Did you ask for hand checks on it?

    • @just_a_guy
      @just_a_guy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes! i personal ask for hand checks with all my film but a lot of the museums i went through i didn’t have time to ask because of the amount of people trying to get in. i had most of the film i shot go through at least 3 scanners/x-ray machines and they turned out fine! usually anything under 800 ISO isn’t effected enough or at all to damage your film. i hope that helps!

    My experience with this stock matches with yours. Here in Brazil the cheaper films are the Vision 3 spooled but among the C41s I think it has a very competitive cost/benefit relation. Thanks for this video.

    • @just_a_guy
      @just_a_guy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah it’s a pretty consistent film stock! i actually am trying out some spoiled Vision 3 at the moment so i’ll make a video on it in the future and let me know if you’ve had similar results! thank you so watching! :)
