How To Turn Off Stereo Sound On The iPhone. Best Method.

- Scrolling the Bar to the left side will switch what speaker sound comes out of when you are in landscape or portrait so in landscape it will come out of the front speaker and portrait it will come out of the bottom. Comes down to preference.
You will have to change the setting back when you plug in headphones or earbuds but if the sound bothers you on the speakers its worth it changing the setting.

Thank you a million times!!! My dad changed his iPhone 7 on Apple store three times over this cause he thought the speaker was broken! Even on Apple service never checked they just swapped with a new one every time. After I saw this video I realized he changed the setting, all previous iPhones were just fine!!! Thank you again

i use 7+ ,first i also got scared and took to service centre , they said left speakers wont work .. i asked then why they kept it that way .. insted of that they could give 3.5 mm audio jack

Whoever designed the speakers on the iPhone 7 literally has no knowledge in sound engineering. And now that the iPhone 8 uses this same design, I'm furious. It's like attempting to listen to a stereo with two different speakers. Steve Jobs would've never let this stupid design as well as the removal of the headphone jack happen.
Sorry for my approximative English.
First , some other smartphones now have no more the old 3.5 mm jack connector.
Second, even loudspeakers are different, just remember than stereo effect works only with higher frequencies. Even with 2 different spectrums, the stereo effect can work. When i compare the global sound of Iphone 7 to an Iphone 6, there's a huge difference. According to me it's widely positive even it's a little iconoclastic. SAying the phone designers have no knowledge in acoustics is a little arrogant my friend. I guess their knowledge in acoustic is good enough to make a tiny phone produce a quiet loud sound even with a lack of bass. And anyway, the design of loudspeakers is prabaly totally computerised as all the rest. engineers just test different parameters and choose the best result. If it shit for you, then blame the software...

i just bought a pre-owned iphone 7 plus and i noticed that the sound seemed like it had some kind of water damage. I used this trick to help this problem because it’s only the front-facing speaker that sounds this way, and my bottom speaker is fine. if i turn off my front-facing speaker, but keep the bottom one on, will i still be able to hear out of the front-facing speaker when i call someone?
It is nice to have this guide, however I want to add that I don't think balanced is a good term here. Watching video on landscape and having sound only comming from right side(bottom speaker) is more unbalanced IMO

Is there a way to disable the feature as to when you turn the phone to landscape, the sound goes from one speaker to the other? I would really like my sound to just play from the bottom speak no matter how the phone is turned. Is this possible?

My nose was bleeding and a drip went straight into tho the top speakers. Had a crazy distorted sound and listening to memos, spotify etc. was almost impossible. Thank you man works perfectly!

Austyn Meyer Weird, when I hold the iPhone horizontally every app like TH-cam etc. switches to the other speaker (in my case the upper one). Do you have an idea how to fix this as well ? Orientation lock didn’t fix it though.
ayayay yeah I did mention in the video that this happens. I think the only thing you can do is go into the settings and switch the bar to the opposite side and then watch what you want in landscape or whatever. Otherwise not sure.

Yes man. The top speaker is design for calls. However apple decided to make it work as the left channel of your iPhone. You probably dont need this info btw lol. I mean 2 years ago

Hmm interesting. Things like that can happen due to physical damage or if you’ve had it for quite awhile. If its somewhat of a newer device you might be able to file a warranty with apple.

Hai!...Everyone... there is no left and right speakers on IPhone. There are two speakers, one is Bottom Right one, and the other one is on Top (which is normally we hear, while talking). So, IPhone has two speakers.Right speaker at Bottom and Top one is another Speaker. Left one is MIC Only.

Mannn when I first got this phone, iPhone 7+ only the bottom speaker played and it was loud asf, I loved it! But ever since iOS12 they fucked us. Now it plays out of both speakers, and I have to constantly mess with the balance whenever I go from portrait to landscape, it’s infuriating 🤬

This is somehow wrong. Yes you could actually get to choose which speaker will you be using. But the point is whenever you use your phone in landscape it'll automatically switch speakers because it is integrated with the OS. It'll choose which speaker is best in your scenario.
Worth a try so you could appreciate what am I trying to say.
Don't turn on mono audio yes it sounds like you getting less audio but the beats are separated if that makes any sense because when you turn it in it's just all the beats mixed together all coming at you at once and this will be a negative is you have to really good headphones 🎧 you won't be getting a good experience in the sound quality
Make the same steps but than turn on Mono Audio its better
