Dr. thought I wouldn't walk again, they thought wrong. I'm out here whining with my belizean husband. Gratitude. Loved this short practice. I'm subscribed... I'll be checking back. When I was younger I used to be ashamed to dance in front of ppl. Because these dancers are natural to me. Im a black P.Rican \Indian . We grew up with hips shoulders movement \Belly dancers moves .Your doing such a great job teaching. I learn some things off your videos. Im 64 now and still in step 🤗❤️
You getting me right for my honeymoon to Jamaica. I gotta work on balancing lol and my weak left side! Definitely determined to master this. Thanks sis!
im from trinidad, i live and i live there, i whine every morning as a work out for two hours. as a newbie dancer theres a big problem with one side being weaker and thats okay. Dont try to make your whine symmetrical, remember its feminine energy so one weaker side isnt an issue, focus on it being SMOOTH, (based on the dance style) so that means even if you develop a style that pivots on the stronger leg more than the weaker, thats okay! As i tell younger girls, your whine is SIGNATURE to you, its not gonna look like anyone else's or feel like anyone else's, so compensate for your body!
you learn to whine FOR YOUR BODY, itll come easily, my biggest issue starting out at 9 years old when my mom taught me was i always wanted to look like my other girls and i wldnt listen to that stiff knee and rickety ankle...now...itz a breeze. Listening to your body is important becuase this is a SPORT serious injuries can happen over time if you force your body to do something it doesnt have the strength to or can't do, so be cautious. wishing you love and light on your journey

Should I push my pelvis forward when I OPEN my legs, and my ass backwards when I CLOSE them, or the other way round??? Im not sure still if I'm doing it correctly, even tho I rewind a couple times. Hey Laura! Thank you! So you're pushing your pelvis forward when you open and close your legs, so it's a constant pelvis thrust. Your ass naturally goes backwards when your transitioning from open to close, but focus more on that pelvis thrust. I hope this makes sense! I have plenty videos showing the movement as well so check them out as well!

I am doing this video now for more or less 3 weeks, and even after a couple days I noticed my left (weaker) hip got waaay more loose and I c overall improvement so quickly!! This summer Im going to two reggae festivals and a.o. going to c Beenie Man, Sean Paul etc. So I'm practicing haha. One more time; I love ur dance tutorials foreal. Thanks gorgeous!❤
Check out my warm up video that I posted before this one. Always make sure you’re warming up before doing these moves. Your tummy shouldn’t stop you from whining. I’ll post some stuff that can help stretch and ease your back!
