Guiding Light: Character Snapshot - Macauley West

Macauley West came in the picture summer of 1993 shortly after David accidentally killed Vinnie Morrison. This snapshot is a little longer due to trying to explain the story through a series of clips.
Gilly and David's past were heavily hinted at for a year and the reason David was arrested finally came out while he was on the run for Vinnie's murder. Macauley was key factor in what happened.
Macauley we played by Joe Lando and was definitely stunt casting. Joe's current show Dr. Quinn was a huge hit and GL wanted to capitalize on it. With Joe being a veteran to soaps (OLTL) I think it worked. I liked the story and we weren't overwhelmed with the character's presence on the show.
