As a daily watcher of your morning show, back in December I followed you lead and added SPY on my main chart view. My success ratio has jumped so much and my STL's triggers have been reduced due to this one little change. Still much to learn and use but starting to get consistent. Hi Meir, thanks for the reminder. Took BABA short today as it moved under the lows at 14:46, then watched SPY make a big move up at 14:50 and knew I should have closed the trade at that point before riding BABA all the way up to my stop.

Not really, because 90% of institutional traders are not allowed to trade them

Meir do you think that this rule applies if I’m trading NQ or YM…futures trading
Well, sometime the NQ will move first. Tech companies are more volatile therefore the NQ may show the way to the S&P. At some points, when the S&P leads (look for this!) - yes you can.
Meir, Do you when you compare the Spy chart to stock chart do you put them on the same time frame?
Meir likes the 5 minute time frame
Not always. I always watch the S&P in 5 min. but sometime I trade 1 - min. After 20 minutes or so, I watch both in 5-min.

Hi Meir, Thanks for the video. So the institutional traders drive the stocks like apple according to the direction of the Spy which moves first. What moves the Spy stock which is the first to move? Is it also the institutional traders?

IAM a professional trader and one of the lessons I learned on stock price fluctuations is basically Couse by the order flow which could be from the actual stock or deravative order flow this could be futures or options contracts the system is simple but the exchange makes it complicated. The so called specialist they will move the price base on how they hold the position. To put it in simple form the market moves in a slippage formation this makes the price to move high when there is high demand and move low when there is high supply.when market opens with GAPS is basically price correction base on how the specialist hold the positions inorder to minimise liquidity risk. To answer your question the stock prices move first then the index follows behind but it happens in micro seconds so you can't abitrage from that.

Yes.
I have to rely on the graph smaller than five minutes to enter?
I analyse the S&P 500 on a 5 minute timeframe only. Individual stocks can be traded on any timeframe, 1 minute, 5 minute etc.

Meir.. as always great video!!! My question to you is: you mentioned to compare Spy with only stocks that trade $10 or more.. I like to trade stocks between $3 and $10 (at least until I grow my account and can afford more expensive stocks).. will this Spy rule still work for stocks between $3 to $10? Thank you Sir..
Generally, stocks priced above $10 have a higher institutional ownership, while stocks priced below $10 have a lower institutional ownership - so stocks priced above $10 would be more receptive to the S&P 500.
I should have joined your course and win 2K. Just by watching how you trade and trading SP 500 stocks, I have turned $3500 to $8600 in 23 days in midst of my day job. Out of 23 days I have only three red days. I am hoping for 10K in 30 days. I only have 7 days left to 30 days...hoping for the best. Thank you for all you do. Your videos are the most educational

How do you know when institutions are interested in the stock? For example cheaper less famous stocks?
For example AMC yesterday I wanted to short. But even though spy was going down AMC traded up almost 60% of the time. So does this only work for big famous names that are in the s&p or overall stocks above 10 dollar?
You can check specific institutional ownership on websites like Finviz.

You are 0% volume in the market because you trade CFD's LOL...
I do trade CFDs. Trading CFDs has many benefits.
@@Meir_Barak CFD only advantage is because you can trade in smaller amounts, it's doesn't expire and can access much larger leverage. THE BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE IS = trading CFDS is expensive because of overnight charges meaning is impossible to make money long term in you are a position trader the swap will eat most if not all of your profits.
You're asking these kids to make thirty percent in a month for their two-hundred bucks....C'mon man, where are your principles??
