I think this is the best for haircut for guys in general. Shorter sides allow easier maintenance with longer on the top to style. Great cut.
This is definitely a great style that can be a go-to for a lot of guys, no matter their age.

It’s literally bald on the sides and barely even a buzz cut further up on the sides, and then the top is still short, and it’s torture, not the best haircut.
Charlie is such a smart and thoughtful barber. He always does a great job explaining his techniques and the finished product looks great. That kid will be famous after being on a BB video.
It's amazing to see Charlie's style evolve since he was first featured on the channel. He's grown into an incredibly talented barber and teacher. It's hard to believe how young he is!

Skin fades been around since the 1920s they're not going away anytime soon, if you don't like it then don't get one, simple enough. 👍
Here's some constructive criticism, u need to give more space to ur guidelines in order to create a more gradual transition. I'd say to create ur bald line, bald out the client, not forgetting to properly take out that bald line with the trimmers or shavers. Then debulk with the desired guard, usually a 2, then go up an inch with the lever open, use trigger play with the lever knock the guideline out, then go with the one guard open an inch . Then proceed with the 1 1/2 guard open to knock out the line between the 1 and 2. Then use the 1 guard closed to help soften the line between the lever open and 1 open. Then use the half guard open, half way, and then closed if necessary to remove the line between the lever open and one. Don't forget to cross check and detail the cut, maybe using other techniques or tools like thinning shears if needed. I see a lot of people criticising but not many people helping so I thought I'd help u out, just remember success don't come easy, youll only get better from here on👍

You always leave way too much weight above that fade line dude. It is suppose to be gradual, not skin, slight fade then black. It looks weird every time you do it

Yeah, but if you do what you like then you don’t have enough weight at the top so the hair stands out perpendicular to the head and won’t comb down. Plus it won’t grow out properly because the bottom will grow out too quick. As a guy with coarse, thick hair I can say this is perfect and will still look sharp in 8 weeks
Beetlejuice ! I mean I’m not the one classed as the ‘barber’ am I? From anybody who can see the blend clearly, the weight above the fade line is too heavy. Give it a few days and it’ll look like he hasn’t even had a haircut, lol.

I love skin fades I really want one but I think im a bit to young (11) and my sister and parents wouldn't let me as well and none of the barbers near me would do a good one like this any advice???

Omg Charlie where have you been, great to see you back really enjoy watching your video's. I hope everyone who is making negative comments are all Qualified Barbers? otherwise, they need to pipe down, don't criticize someone on something you know nothing about. As a qualified Hairdresser and Barber, I can tell you there is no right or wrong way just the clients way it is all about what the client wants.

It's definitely got a busier vibe to it, as the new shop has been a little quiet (it's in a quieter area) but we'll try to feature some more stuff from there. It's always good to see Charlie back on the channel.

Best fade my Charlie yet! Not too keen on the new before/after music. It’s far too “Lobby/elevator-ish”. The old track had some fight, sick bass and killer hip hop vibe

Good vids but need spread the fade out so is a transition from light to dark not just squashing it all in a short space

They really think these Fades look good that's the sad part I guess that's how they were taught in their country to do a fade but in reality us we know what a real fade is just let them keep thinking they're doing fades in one day it will eventually hit them that they need to start blending a lot more

It can look shit, most guys get haircuts that are way too busy nowadays, too many edge ups and hard parts and dumb crap. But a good skin fade looks great. it's just a regular fade that lasts maybe a week longer.
