Sounds like sample rate dithering. Probably recorded at a higher resolution than 48 and was downconverted. Just a guess. It sounds like there's fairly strong master buss compression too, which doesn't help in that scenario.
I'm actually wondering about the song that comes right after that one. I think love makes us strong is already released on the Onething album of the same name. :/
