Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Solar Plants is one of the most critical ways to improve the equipment’s life by preventing excess depreciation and impairment. This enables the plant to produce the maximum amount of energy throughout its operational life, perfectly aligning the interests of developers, clients, and investors. Here is a sneak peek of how the highly trained personnel form CleanMax, clean & maintain our solar power plant.
Firstly, the O & M team reaches the site where the Solar Power Plant is installed. The head of the O & M team then briefs the team of safety measures to be conducted while inspecting the Roof top Solar. It is mandatory for the team to wear the PPEs, Reflective jacket, safety shoes, helmets, and electrical gloves. Before starting, the team must check the Solar Plant status and individual status of their devices and power generation. The supervisor inspects the safety wear of the team personally to ensure the safety of all the members. After checking if the ladder is safe to use, the team assembles and starts climbing the ladder using the safety harness and hooks and maintain a three-point contact. Upon reaching the rooftop, the team attaches the harness to the lifeline. The team then starts visually inspecting the Rooftop Solar Power Plant walking on the designated walkways designed. Once the visual inspection is done, a water pump is started for cleaning the Rooftop Solar Power Plant using a specialized carbon pole brush. After the cleaning is done, the team then checks the Solar Power Plant once again for any stains or residues and ensures all the grimes are removed properly. The next step is to inspect the solar power module via thermal cameras that helps to detect hot spots in the Solar Panels before they lead to any breakdowns. Once that is done, the team then checks the inverter alerts on the mobile app and updates in the log. After that they clean the inverter fan, filter, and surface along with the ACDB maintenance check and update the final details of the inspection on the mobile app. The team periodically checks the condition of the cables, module structure and tightness, corrosion, rust, and damage on the Solar Power Plant. Back in our office of the Global Operations Centre (GOC) in Mumbai, we keep a track of more than 100 parameters for each Solar Plant on a real time basis and alerts the technicians of any abnormality.
