Marcelito Pomoy is now in the US and a special guest in Ellen De Generes show. Show will broadcast on October 29, California time.
Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song, he has no classical training, rather taught himself how to sing from an early age. He learned this song by listening to a recording by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. His performance, considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it, is gorgeous. His native language is Philipino Tagalog, and he has no formal training. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but he does not speak those languages. Possibility even more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7. On September 21, 2014, Pomoy married Joan Paraiso of Calauag, Quezon, and they have one daughter, Marcella Janiah. He is very humble, helping out his neighbors with odd jobs and repairs, even though his reported net worth is around $5,000,000 USD. His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

me too, I never get tired of it for two days now and I already knew the song but I notice how he sometimes sings with full power and then the next moment, all tenderness... I start to wonder now if he is in fact not very comparable to Dimash in skill. Both of them seem to have sung more than anything else in their life.

darwin lebios 2020, I just discovered him last week. I’m still trying to process this.
It's still a falsetto voice but he manages to give it texture so that it gives the impression that it's female range. In other words, his vocal chords produces enough vibration so that it doesn't sound like a falsetto. I used to sing but I or anybody I knew can do as Pomoy does with his voice. He truly is unique.
Macelito's "female" voice is NOT falsetto. If you want proof, listen to him sing "The Power of Love". A male singer can not do what Macelito does with that song by singing in falsetto.

Kaya yata tuloy hindi makapag-break in ang mga Filipino artists sa international scene dahil sa kahambugan at ka-agresibuhan ng mga Pilipino. We now look at the world as one international community. We are one planet. But... his way to getting his voice is sad and tragic. His mother died after the birth of him and only his dad was left. He was in prison though and marcelito had to go stay for 2 years in prison until he was "adopted" by a police guard. At the age of 9, he realized that he and she were not his parents and ran away. He lived most of his life in th streets, selling food just to survive. He was lucky over time and he was able to get a house and have a kid and a wife. He was the winner of Phillipines Got Talent and has now reconciled with his father.
