The USA is not Europe. The USA is a separate culture based on the European one. Today, most white Americans have Native American ancestry.

In 2015, geneticists and anthropologists conducted a study of 6 million White Americans and found 97.5% of White Americans were fully European with no confirmed admixture. And around 3/4ths of the 2.5% had admixture over ten generations ago with most having under 2% admixture. The results were published in several newspapers with the title "White Americans have remained 'shockingly' European". The idea most White Americans are mixed with Natives is a myth and is usually because White Americans are taught to feel ashamed of their European ancestry and because Native people are despicted as "cool" in pop culture. Also, interesting enough there has been DNA studies done from White Americans who claim to be part Native and only around 5% of the participants actually had Native admixture while the remaining 95% had none and had been told a children's tale by their family. Also its important to remember...a large portion of White Americans only came here in the late 19th and early 20th century. My family for example only came here in the 1960s. Its simply not true that a majority of White Americans are mixed. Also, at its core as you said White American culture is based on European culture...like country music for example originally comes from American folk music which comes from Irish and Scottish folk music. Our European ancestry is still very sacred to millions of Euro-Americans. Just look at the Pennsylvania Dutch community, Texas Germans, Irish Americans, etc.
