Kudos to Shola for deep research into the evolution of Juju music. Nothing can be faulted in his presentation and I am particularly happy that he highlighted the fact that our great Juju musicians such as KSA and Obey took a lot from the forerunners such as Ayinde Bakare, Julius Araba, Ambrose Campbell, Adeolu Akinsanya etc al. It is a fact that KSA's 'Epo moto mi titan' was influenced by Ayinde Bakare's 'Alupupu mi baje dokita moto..' same for his tribute to late Adebayo Adebajo that was influenced by Ayinde Bakare's tribute to late Oluwo. Obey lifted Ayinde Bakare's tribute to I S Adewale and also used Ayinde Bakare's tribute to Oriade Wellington in his 'Enyin pegan pegan'. Dele Abiodun remade many old highlife songs, while I don't know if they had the permission of the original artistes, they did a great job by bringing the old music back to the new generation. Thanks to Agbaletu and many thanks to Mr Mapaderun.

Thanks for this interview. Mr Sola Mapaderun is really correct in his story behind Suberu Oni and Why Worry Orchestra. I was also very familiar with both baba Agun and Suberu who were bossom friends to my dad. In particular, Baba Suberu Oni often visited my dad whenever they do no have a show. He was fond of carrying an umbrella, which he carried to whereever he went. Thank you Agbaletu.

What SOLA said is 100% correct, I'm the driver to his mother, they always go to ondo with mr Dayo Duile the Daily sketch editor to celebrate Ogun festival, I always take both the twins and Mama Mapaderun in their Peugeot station wagon.
