splendid splendid splenndid, his bowing articulation is sound like voice. his clarity of rhythm might talk metaphysical world. especially beautiful accentuation. (90yrs.Japanese) sorry strange English.
My violin teacher's favorite violinist. Go listen to another violinist playing this piece. Completely different. I like it very much: G.F. Handel - Violin Sonata in A major / HWV361 Op.1 No.3.
Handel's sontas and trio sonatas were published by Walsh (an English publisher who worked for Handel) around the 1730s. They are works from Handel's youth. Ignorant old woman.
So nice to hear this music the way it was played before the early music crowd put their murderous hands around its neck and squeezed all the life and joy out of it.
There is joy in this music whatever the style of playing! As JSB reputedly said, the music is what the performer does, not what is on the printed page.
I'm using the Barenreiter edition, and the suggested ornamention is unbelievable! I told my teacher that i looked at the double-stops and chords in the allegro and felt overwhelmed; she just said how do you eat an elephant?

Does anybody else agree that Handel does not use Opus numbers for his works?
All I see on IMSLP is HWV numbers.
Has this recording ever been released on CD? I can't find on Amazon.
I've just asked the same question somewhere else....! I don't find anything !!
