    STORYLINE:
Israeli forces demolished on Thursday a cluster of tents and shacks belonging to Palestinians in the village of Duma, in the occupied West Bank.
Mohammed Zawahiri, a father of seven whose tent was demolished, said they fled the Ein Rashash area due to a spike in settler attacks after the start of the war on Oct. 7, and came to Duma to build their tents.
Duma is in a section of the West Bank known as Area B: Its civil affairs are governed by the Palestinian Authority, but the Israeli military is in charge of its security.
In the days following Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel, more than 100 Bedouin Arabs that were living a nomadic lifestyle in the pastures south of Duma relocated to the fringes of town, in search of greater safety and resources.
"After the war that started on Oct. 7, our suffering by the settlers has increased. They started attacking us day and night, which forced us to migrate and move here," Zawahiri said.
The Bedouin Arabs living near Duma are one of 16 such communities in the West Bank that have relocated because of settler violence or threats since the start of 2023.
