In a Swedish class a few years ago, we were talking about Christmas and Sweden. I mentioned “jävla geten” instead of “Gävlebocken” much to the teachers amusement!!!! 😂
lol thats hilarious
Thanks for sharing! I agree with @thegoat9533. That is hilarious! And cute! We would love to include this story if we ever talk about Gävlebocken in our videos. It is a great story! Tack igen!!!
😂
I remember once trying to say "I'm full (have eaten enough)" and picked the words out literally: "Jag är full" (which would be taken to mean "I am drunk"). Or perhaps I was even foolish enough to pronounce it like "jag är ful" (ugly).
haha, this is so funny. Thanks for sharing! It is very tricky with mätt (have eaten enough), full (drunk) and ful (ugly). I am sure you are not the only one who has mix them up. Thanks again for sharing :)
”Åh snygg bebis”
FBI ÖPPNA DÖRREN!!
HELP THIS HAPPENED TO ME 😭
Hahaha, precis. You totally got the real meaning of "åh snygg bebis" 😂
You are not alone!
I'm a native English speaker. I lived in Sweden as en exchange student in the 80s. It was my job to do the vaccuming in my Swedish host family's house every Friday. On one ocassion, I couldn't find the vacuum cleaner and so I asked my host mother where I could find the "damsugare" (lady sucker) instead of the "dammsugare" (dust sucker). ; )
Haha, thanks for sharing! This is a great and funny story!
Lolololol😂😂😂omg
ohhh gosh 😅😅😅 dying instead
😂
I went to pick up my parcel and challenged myself to do this in Swedish. Before I left the house, my husband said: Remember: "hämta" is to "pick up" and "lämna" to leave. So while walking to the place I kept saying hämta-lämna, hämta-lämna, hämta-lämna... And as soon as I walked up to the cashier I said "Jag skulle vilja HÄMNA mitt packet" (so I said I wanted to AVENGE my parcel :)) The guy was quite surprised :D
😂😂😂
I find this video verry funny. Especially when you tell the stories and you put the eues on the people. It makes their reactions priceless 😂😂
I don't realy have access to talking to swedes yet, Im still living in my home country but I plan to move to Sweden some day in the future. So I'm sure when that day comes I will also make tons of hilarious mistakes as we all make 😂
Glad you enjoyed the video and the images in it. We will tell our editor to make more of thoses. And yes, hope you can come to Sweden soon. Make many mistakes and learn from them
Not Swedish but I know you speak Spanish too, so I'll share this. When I was studying Spanish I wanted to say that I went for a run in the park, but instead of saying "Hoy he corrido en el parque" I said "Hoy me he corrido en el parque" because in my language you would say something like "Today I made myself running in the park" 🙊🙊🙊 everyone in class laughed at my sentence and from that day I've become fully aware of the use of "me" along with the verb "correr" hahaha 🙈🙈🙈
I'm a native spanish speaker and I have no idea what that could mean :/
@@LightblueStar27 really? maybe it has a meaning only in EU Spanish...
Haha, thanks for sharing! Yes! I know exactly what you mean. In Spanish from Spain it means something more sexual 🙈 I have also made this mistake in Spanish because in Latinamerican spanish it works but not in Spain. Thanks again for sharing with us!!
oh wow! i didnt know you were Argentinian thats so cool!
Yes, Argentinean mom and Swedish dad (and born and raised in Sweden). Are you Argentinean too?
@@FunSwedish That's so cool! I'm not Argentinian but I think it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
I personally call this time when you can't say a word "accumulation period" and from my point of view this is not only because you afraid of making mistakes. It's also about to be polite, so you don't want Swedish people to hear how you bad at Swedish) I still have the same filling speaking with native English speakers and this is why it's easy to speak English with my Swedish friends - sometimes we both speak Wronglish)
excellent video. funny and totally agree about mistakes
Glad you enjoyed it!
I believe you're the best teacher of the world! 😀
Tack! But it is easy when you have the best followers and students in the world. YOU inspire us ❤
jag really enjoyed this video. Tack så mycket.
Tack till dig
Tack 🌹🌺🌷
Super videos a great way to learn Swedish. And nice Black glasses 👓☺
Tack så mycket! :)
Can you see clearly without glasses ?
Many thanks for making this video... Very useful indeed...
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have any idea how much I love Cinnabons?❤ I’d love to eat it there…
What a lovely video.
Lets feel free to make any mistake we like! Never be afraid or emparassed😅😅
Kind of irrelevant but I 'd like to share that yesterday morning just before I wake up and while having my eyes closed , I found my self thinking ' förlåt, ursäkta', ' förlåt, ursäkta', ' förlåt, ursäkta'😂😂 lololololololol😂😂
So true! If you don’t practice, your ability to speak a foreign language dies over time … I used to speak four languages fluently, neglected two of them … so sad 🥲
😂😂😂i thought we all learn the bad words first in any language
Tack :)
Varsågod :)
Roligt :) tack

Gratis = kostar inget (free of charge). Exempel: Kanelbullen är gratis. Du behöver inte betala.
@@FunSwedish Har man en fridag så är man ledig. Fri lunch betyder att lunchen är gratis.
Spandish = amigå
Its interesting that a teacher in sweden does not speak Swedish on such a basic level that they understand that Slut means End. How are they suppose to help the students understand English if they can only explain it in English, a language they are learning.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂
Asså???!!! Du är halv argentinsk då, vilken en överraskning!!! Pratar du flytande spanska också?? (Du borde hehe)
Sí :)
