He really could do well with a rock oriented album. There's flashes of it in There's nothing Holding me Back, and In my Blood(and a few others. The live version of mercy he gets pretty intense on that one part), and then of course, this cover. He could absolutely do it. He's got this hippy vibe going right now, maybe he can channel that into some peace, love, and rock and roll =P

Hey! As someone who keeps up with Shawn closely and has seen him live he totally loves the rock vocal style. He gets crazy in his songs when live. Because I admire him so much when I heard Happier Than Ever, I was like oh Shawn’s gonna love this one. He made a song similar on his album. He starts quiet and then gets really loud and screams
