My balance concepts: - Sam's super now heals him baseline; Hearty Recovery now heals Sam for 700 for each enemy his super hits. - Sam's super recharges itself in 8 seconds after throwing his knuckle busters away - Remote recharge is completely reworked: Sam can retract his knuckle busters after 4 seconds (instead of the normal 8) - Pulse repellent is reworked completely; Upon activation, his next super doesn't stay on the ground, and instead returns to him like a boomerang, pulling enemies along with it (similar to Gray's walking cane) - Sam's attack Damage, super damage and HP are increased by 5% (so that he's useful without HC) - Mythic Gear: Reinforced Magnets: knuckle buster pickup range is increased by 100% - Hypercharge: Iron fists: Sam's Super now slows down enemies and leaves a burning trail which sets enemies on fire, dealing ticks of 500 damage for 5 seconds Many people think Sam is a healthy, balanced brawler with his uses in the meta, but that's clearly not the case. His kit feels awkward, and without Magnetic field + Hearty recovery, he's completely useless. If Adrian sees this, then please, consider implementing this :). My boy Sam has been garbage for way too long.

As a Sam main who got his title some months ago (a bit stressful journey if I could tell you), I completely agree. I really wished he got his own hypercharge, it doesn't help that Supercell isn't releasing too much mythic gears, which is such a shame. I love playing Sam and I can do some really crazy plays with him, but he definitely needs more love from Supercell. Nice video, greetings from Brazil ❤🇧🇷
Thanks and I definitely agree too. He is such a fun brawler with some of the most unique mechanics in the game, but ever since his nerfs and the addition of hypercharged tanks he hasn’t received any love from the brawl team.
This sums up perfectly how I feel about alot of brawlers since I love playing underrated/bad brawlers like Max,Willow,Janet, Hank, and Sam and they just become undertuned or overlooked because either they get nerfed too hard, powercrept, their role becomes worthless or another brawler does their role better.

Simply incredible! Everything that you said is right, Sam has a terrible kit, and needs some reworks for him to shine in this meta! Definitely one of the top 3 worst brawlers in the game
video very well put togheter it defently got the message across, is just a matter of it gettin to supercell. Reguardless of that, i'd like to add to your idea, on the star power having the ability to recharge automatically without sam doing anything, meanwhile having the super charge at 50 by default, cause it would too 1 sided if this SP gave 2 abilities compared to the other 1, altho i can see hearty recovery standin it's ground considering how ingrained to sam it is. but yeah this would be also because reguardless of Sam hitting and getting 50% back, if he is far away he is not going to make that recovery before he dies or directly gets to it, which defeats the point, so for that either an auto charge or tank trait have to be added. Also considering that the amount of times Sam hits 2 opponent is basically 0 and usually he just gets his kuckles back directly, it would make the remote aspect pop out a bit more. Meanwhile for the gadget i think your idea of it comin back, even without the heal was perfect in of it self, like we were saying giving also that remote aspect to him, but the only problem i see with the healing, is that incase he got the 1st SP on he would another 20% health added on to the the 2500 which would basically recover him fully, which seems slightly exagerated. So i think maybe 1000 or even none at all would be already good, not like the other 1 is much bettar.
that said, Sam came out at a time when the bs team was still focusing on fixing gears and many other things, and unlike now only focused on 1 gameplay style for each brawler, but they said recently that now they are giving every brawler more versitility based on what gadget or sp they use which fixes the issue of some sp or gadgets being completely unaterly outclassed by the other. So them having had this epiphany in prospective, i think there is a good chance of them eventually applieing such changes to him and many other brawlers as they have also ucknowledged how useless some things like R T second gadget or 1st i dont remember, are. unfortunately im afraid well have to wait until all the hypercharges are out, cus they said they would also rework some old HC for being lame amd they still havent done that yet, so i guess we'll have to wait and see.
i know, i am a professional yapper i'm sorry, either way i'm happy i encountered this video as i've had many such ideas on reworking Sam since he was released, as he was 1 of the few brawl passes i have bought, so he is very much on my priority list. That said if you are looking to become a BS youtuber, i think you should look towards making other concepts videos or reworks for other brawlers, as it is not something prolifically looked on, maybe also a few mainstreams videos down the line i can see myself meeting you again with a creator profile on ur account. And yeah my whole goal with the reworks was to make Sam less linear in gameplay so he can stand out amongst his other tanky assassins, but I don’t think the tank trait would work for him as he is technically still an assassin who already has a trait.
I think his first star power should be a base mechanic and buff both if his star power. 1# hearty recovery: Sam always heal 1000 more health when picking up is glove. 2# magnetic belt: Sam will charge his super automatically if he does not have his glove. (5 second auto charge like Chuck) 3# magnetic glove: create a magnetic field that pull ennemies in faster but slow them if they go away from the glove. (Remain until he pick his glove) 4# smashing glove: Sam next super will break every obstacle in its way and deal electric dot damage to ennemies hit by them. Mythic gear: robot hater If Sam is near a robot, his damage double. But if he is near a non robot, he gains a 30% damage reduction shield. (Aplies around both allies and ennemies. Will add both if both are near) Hypercharges: old school cheating Sam glove comme back instantly after being thrown just like Carl pickaxe.
Very nice analysis of such a forgotten character by Supercell's balance changes team. I recently pushed Sam to Rank 25, and his flaws were very clear, but it wasn't that hard since I love his play style.
Rework Dreams: When he uses his super it always stops at the first thing hit (Including Brawlers) - This is so you don't have to run past the enemy to grab it and you aren't a sitting duck - Allows for more consistent damage Rework 1st Gadget : Add a slow to the Magnetic Pull Rework 2nd Gadget (Fist Fortify): Instead of a heal as mentioned in the video make is a shield, once again only activatable while his knuckle busters are on the ground Rework 2nd Star power (Striking Speed): When Sam throws out his knuckle buster he gains a massive speed boost when walking towards his super (Similiar to max's super), however it decays very rapidly (0.5 or so) before going back to the normal speed boost. Mythic Gear: Keep it simple and just add an extra 1-2k dmg on his super Hypercharge: Sam is immune to CC when his knuckle busters are on and when they are not he deals the same dmg as when they are with the same attack speed as little form.

I think a cool idea for a gadget replacement could be Backup pair: only usable when sam doesn’t have his knuckle busters, when activated, Sam’s next attack will work like his attack if he still had them (double damage, more range, but a bit slower)
I think it cold be cool to take part of your hypercharge concept(the super slowing enemies on hit) and just make it a mythic gear, not a devastating slow but just something. Then his HC could do the ammo steal and also maybe give him a shield of 1k per ammo stolen. it might be broken like this but it could be fine tuned over time(plus brawl stars has never hesitated to release hypercharges in a broken state lol). But yea I dont even use sam but I love his concept and itd be nice for him to be at least somewhat comparable to fang in terms of viability
I think 2nd starpower should charge his super without any ranges, for example, in 10 sec (may be faster if the gloves hit someone) like Edgar or Kit. And it will be cool, if 2nd gadget stans enemies instead of knock back
Dumb idea: when Sam throws his super and recharges it, instead of the super going to him, he teleports to the super, this will fix his movement problem I guess🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I think that before team would be forced to spend quite some time on the things that you mentioned, they should first try and buff him a little with things like a charge super rate with basic attacks since its quite hard to get it back, or as you said since hitting the super is not really game-changing, he could get a dmg buff or a higher speed buff with it. Also a thing that could be a bug is that when his super comes back, for some reason it does less dmg than when thrown (doesn't say that hte super does this anywhere), which makes an already useless and lame mechanic even worst
i agree with all of this, i am a sam main since his release and bought his brawl pass, made him r30 but now, with this meta adding hypercharges and all of that makes him weak and pulse repellent sucks, as same with remote charge, remote charge should have a bigger radius tho
I think a small QOL change could be that, like Darryl or Bull, Sam’s super cannot land on water. It wouldn’t make too big a difference, but the fact that sam can be put in a situation where it is physically impossible to pick up his super because of the map just feels unfair

@@lazyferret it would be an instant 4.8k just for hitting your shot and you get it back along with a speed boost. At that point there would be no way to counter him up close, as he would always have an instant Shelly super.
Yeah i didn’t mean she takes no skill I meant she does not have a minimum skill requirement to play her and have fun unlike Sam. He needs you to know how to cycle his super otherwise he’s probably the worse brawler in the game.

I have my propositions for Sam updates: Second gadget changed into: Exactly what you suggested, I agree with that one. Second star power changed into: Razor jaws: Sam's knuckle busters do 300-400 extra damage. This will give players a meaningful and rewarding choice between the two star powers, one adding value to picking up gloves and another adding value to hitting them. Hypercharge: Iron onslaught: Sam gains 50% damage reduction and is unstoppable when moving towards his knuckle busters.

I wish they would fix that bug with his super that doesn’t allow it to be used onto a wall when you’re right on it. usually the edge of the map, it just slides off the wall to the side
Personally I use the repellant gadget because I find it more versatile. It gives me the option to choose their launch direction, though I mostly use it to pull them towards me. I find that it gives me more time to catch up to the enemy and regain my knuckle busters.
Belle hypercharge really isn't bad. Belle is a great controller but struggles to confirm kills more than a lot of the other sharpshooters like gus, piper and rt who all have useful gadgets for it. Yeah the super improvement is mediocre but the damage and speed coupled with the fact that you can practically guarantee a mark on enemy make it great for putting pressure on the enemy and confirming a kill or two. It also is pretty fast to charge from my experience.
Sam just needs a hypercharge thats the actual problem Or just revert every change that happened to sam Rework idea: heart recovery sp is main kit, the magnetic gadget is his baseline but theres a cooldown is 7 seconds (because 5 seconds would be too broken)
this is kinda how i feel with ash, he isnt bad, theres just better options, which sucks because ash is hella fun. and they gotta give frank something at this point, bros been bad since day 1
the meta does not affect how i play in casual matches, i care more about having fun then winning it does suck how powercreep are making the brawlers i liked playing less playable
Totally understandable, but part of these videos are also me wishing these brawlers had at least a fully usable kit. In Sams case he probably has one of the greatest imbalances with his star powers with one arguably being the worst and the game and the other being almost essential to him winning the game. And with his gadgets one literally goes against his entire playstyle by pushing a brawler away from an assassin.
He pretty good in heist and as a last pick to low dps comps on grassy maps. But I wouldn’t invest in him too much as with every new tank getting a hypercharge he gets worse and worse comparatively.
yeah I got him 932 trophies now, my best brawler peak and I used him a lot in ranked, got my first legendary finish, I could push further maybe I get Master

When sam do the hypercharge his super back to him When it reach the maximum range
Imagine Sam chaining supers, and when he misses one, he calls the super back and keeps chaining, gadget gear going hard
Sam will be one of the last brawlers to get his hyper charge because it’s very difficult to make a hyper charge to a brawler with 2 supers

Sam's remote recharge starpower should be get 100% superback when you hit someone with his super. So he would be like a sniper in some sort of way

bib and sam main here. 4:15 she has low skill floor, but high skill ceiling. she can be played, but she is a bad brawler if you dont know what you do

Personally I use the repellant gadget because I find it more versatile. It gives me the option to choose their launch direction, though I mostly use it to pull them towards me. I find that it gives me more time to catch up to the enemy and regain my knuckle busters.

Belle hypercharge really isn't bad. Belle is a great controller but struggles to confirm kills more than a lot of the other sharpshooters like gus, piper and rt who all have useful gadgets for it. Yeah the super improvement is mediocre but the damage and speed coupled with the fact that you can practically guarantee a mark on enemy make it great for putting pressure on the enemy and confirming a kill or two. It also is pretty fast to charge from my experience.

Rework idea: heart recovery sp is main kit, the magnetic gadget is his baseline but theres a cooldown is 7 seconds (because 5 seconds would be too broken)

The problem with brawl stars is that they release way to many brawlers so some brawlers like Sam will be forgotten and or have no place in the meta

As an Ash main i think Ash is in the same state, he is really bad in the in the meta, and the maps in rotation doesn't help him that much

Totally understandable, but part of these videos are also me wishing these brawlers had at least a fully usable kit. In Sams case he probably has one of the greatest imbalances with his star powers with one arguably being the worst and the game and the other being almost essential to him winning the game. And with his gadgets one literally goes against his entire playstyle by pushing a brawler away from an assassin.

He pretty good in heist and as a last pick to low dps comps on grassy maps. But I wouldn’t invest in him too much as with every new tank getting a hypercharge he gets worse and worse comparatively.
Bro bull is so good. high damage, unkillable. The only thing that sucks is they removed the knockback while hypercharged
