Be careful, I used to do this during ramadhan in a cold climate. Once on the third day I sniffed it and it was very potent, fermented too fast. But most of the time there was some froth but no smell and still tasted sweet. Just be careful if you do this, smell it before you drink it.
@@yourtour2599 I put approx 4-5 dates "khudri" in a glass of size approx 300 ml. Water was filled maybe up to 250ml. The glass was covered with cling wrap, so no air could get in. This was left in a relatively cool place (a shelf in my closet). This was never refrigerated.
prophet used to keep it for 3 days... And drink it gradually.. They wouldnot have fridge at that time and the climate is hot.. What is the possibility that it would not turn into beer
@@rifatbeigh1131 the prophet never let it be for more than half a day, what was soaked in the morning was drank by afternoon. Whatever was soaked in the afternoon was drank by evening. The remaining was either distributed or given to the animals. I think you are confusing with the actions of sahaba, some sahaba would keep it longer, and it could be less than three days, it would be discarded when it started to froth, it started to smell of alcohol, 3 days is to be seen as a limit while making sure that the drink did not ferment. Arguably you can have it for longer in a closed container in a fridge.

Asalamu’alaikum, Jazak’Allah khair for this. I actually came across this on a non muslim chanel for a healthy brownie recipe but for alternative for reduced & healthy sweetness. So when I attempted, I was surprised at the water & kept for my children - we mixed with milk and enjoyed it. I’ve tried it again, but left it for 48 hrs outside and haven’t had chance to use so I refrigerated but it’s longer than a week now in the fridge. Can I still use this or should I dispose of both dates and water?

You’re not supposed to leave it too long, 1-2 days max is safe
