Loved the video. Very informative . Did you guys take the Aurora viewing tour to Charlie dome from Chena hot spring resort or was able to see lights from the resort itself. Just wanted to know if it’s worth to take the tour . Btw, Malayalam ariyuo?
Malayalam ariyam bro… no we didnt take any aurora viewing tour… our plan was to go out every night whenever the sky was predicted clear. if the sky is clear you should be able to see it from chena hot spring entrance easily. What happens in a tour is that if you stay at the tour company’s cabin they will call you whenever the aurora is happening. For eg if staying at Chena. We saw their tour vehicle leaving right in front of us while we were seeing the lights. If not staying at their place you have to pick a date and go there on that date. If the sky is not clear no aurora is seen on that date they will not return your money. So we thought to go by ourselves. Enthina veruthe cash kalayane ?😁 If you drive yourself try the below places. 1. Chena hot spring entrance 2. On the way to Chena hot spring there are few mile markers where the sky is easily viewed. Meaning no tree obstructions 3. Cleary Summit. There is a viewing area. We felt this the best place as its on an elevated location literally on top of mountain (like mutta kunnu in vagamon kerala) and no trees around. But when we went the sky was cloudy. We went there on our day 6. Have some pics in day 6 video. Hope this helps. :)
@@FeniXCreativeStudios thanks a lot bro.. very helpful tips .. we are planning to stay one day in Chena resort and two days in Fairbanks. So we most likely will watch it from the entrance. Pinne sky and prediction okke Ok aanenkil will decide later to take the tour or not. Bro paranja pole veruthe kashu kalayandallo.. We are also planning to do the driving ourself on the remaining two days . Oru help koode bro. Want to know how safe is to drive around in the night in Fairbanks . We will be going to Denali and is planning to start the drive back to Fairbanks at 8:00. And we saw some tours where we can drive ourself and use their facility to wait. It’s pretty cheap. But I want to know if the drive back to Fairbanks (around 20 miles ) is safe at 2:00 am. Also how safe was the drive to and from Cleary summit at night
@@kironpuli - Drive is relatively safe we travelled all these places till 5am in the morning and that too in snow...its fine. Just drive slow coz you dont want to hit any animals and break down your car in middle of nowhere. we didnt experience any issues except for slipping on ICE. Since you mentioned you will be going by sept it may not be Snowy. Just make sure your Car gas tank is full especially if taking full size SUV like suburban. Always have some snacks and drinks in the car. and possibly try to keep different network service on phone. For eg. If you have two phones one with Verizon and another with Tmobile take both of them. you never know which network works. Also if trekking outside in groups then try to keep one phone on at a time and switch off others. when one one phone dies switch on other one. We did this when we did Matanuska glacier and Aurora Hunting. In cold the battery drains faster.
thanks bro.. you have been really very helpful. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. They are really helpful. I would have never thought about the tips about the phones myself Hopefully we will be be able to see the lights . Illenkil trip van tholvi aavum . I will let you know how it went.

@@FeniXCreativeStudios adding one more thing . We are planning to go by mid September, so there won’t be any snow problem on the way.
