"People" pt. 1 (if you want to call it that), is from his album D-2. It's one of my favorite songs of his. All time favorite is Snooze from D-Day.. No song beats that. Literally brought me to tears the first time I listened to it and that was even without the lyrics, but when I listened to it with lyrics I was sobbing!
My favorite Suga & IU collab is Eight, omg I cry every time. There is a part 1 to People, one of my favorites from him also. Btw Jimin's set me free pt2, the part 1 is Suga and it's the best thing ever, full on singing Yoongi gives me life 💜
I.U. has such a lovely voice and SUGA is using his soft tone here. She and SUGA are same age friends. All of BTS were living separately when COVID started so they felt very isolated until they were allowed to work together.

Yes, D-Day! It's simply flawless. The documentary that goes with it is phenomenal also. His performance of his D-Day track, Snooze, in the documentary is one of my absolute favorite things in this world!!! The live performances from his D-Day Tour are all fantastic as well. As others have said, he did a "part one" of this song, called People on his D-2 album...gorgeous. I just love Yoongi to pieces!!!
I love when he works together with IU. He also produced a track for her called eight which he cowrote and featured on. It’s lovely although very sad - it’s generally thought to be about Sulli and Jonghyun, but possibly Hara as well. If you see Suga and IU together, they bicker like siblings and it’s hilarious.
I LOVE this song and I do love IU'S vocals. I very much understand sentence structure getting askewed in translation to English because Korean is completely different. IU'S part honestly does not make much sense as it is sung. I am not bothered by it and understand what is being conveyed, but I have seen some reactors not consider the language differences and not get past that and that is kind of bothersome. IU is the top female KPop artist and is quite a good actress. As far as Yoongi singing...YES! His solo version of Life Goes On is beautiful and worth you checking out. Seesaw, as well. I will say with sincerity that Yoongi's openess in his music pretty much saved me. I wish this man will get to have his great love!
The fact that IU's part does not scan perfectly in English has never bothered me. In fact, I barely noticed the fact, until people started pointing it out. But, even with an imperfect sentence structure (or perhaps because of it) the meaning is so clear. In fact, you "feel" the meaning of her section. And that is the beauty of music (especially Yoongi's music) it transcends language. I would go as far as to say it "is" language. Even without CC on, you feel the song. The soft, enveloping warmth of comfort and compassion, of understanding, and reassurance. Yoongi's songs speak directly to ones heart and soul. And if you are willing to listen, to be open, and "feel" the music, it can be truly healing. And I agree, his solo version of life goes on is so emotive, and emotional. His live performance at his D-Day concert is unforgettable.
