"You have helped me. Bringing me back here helps. It's like I'm seven all over again, and it was the best day of my life." That line got me in tears. The bonding between Aaron and Chas was so moving. Today's episode was difficult to watch, the scenes seemed so real. Danny and Lucy hit it out of the park today.
Aaron is one of the most beautiful, intricate, and three dimensional characters to grace the screen, never mind soaps, and only Danny Miller could do him justice. Underneath his hard exterior, he's scared and he's hurt and he's begging somebody to notice but they can't because he keeps pushing them away. He's genuinely a good kid, even if he's no saint, he's one of the few characters to maintain a solid moral compass.
I'm so glad Aaron finally told her. And it was even better for them to have a nice bonding experience in a happy way before the reveal as well. Can't wait to see how this continues. Thanks for the uploads.
The scenes at the beach were so sweet, it was nice to see that side of Aaron that was carefree if even for a moment, hope after all is said and done ad Aaron gets justice ,we'll get more glimpses of this side of Aaron. That "read it in a book" , I bet that was more Danny than Aaron lol.
IKR!!! It was almost like he'd not got a care in the world & chas was finally seeing her son happy!! After being told by Robert (again) that he was troubled, she planned a day out with him, but was floored when they got home & he finally opened up 😢😢😢
Till Today I never got the chance the see Danny's last line from this scene were he said those words to Chaz , "My Dad Raped Me " Till now the only part of that conversation I had seen was what is probably the next clip were he says everything except for those words that had made me think before that Chaz had to decipher what he was really saying. so Wow .
Yeah.... the way his face just changes just because she says those words is heartbreaking. You can tell that he is just immediately back with his dad, eating fish and chips, as if that could make up for the horrors of the previous night, and pretending like nothing was wrong. So well acted
Ahh the smile on Aaron's face saying it was the best day of my life like he was 7 again awesome:)It was such a great idea to have Aaron at a place that was happy for him as a lad and with Chas:)Going to enjoy these episodes for along time.Brilliant all around from Danny and Lucy:)
Playful Aaron is absolutely precious. It was lovely seeing him and Chas having a good day, even though he did hold back at first. I was surprised that he spilled it the way he did. The fish and chips seemed to be some kind of trigger cuz his mood instantly changed but I'm so glad that he's finally getting it off his chest. It's the first step towards healing.
This has to be the episode focused on Aaron Livesy with the most cute moments and unexpected little things since... he exists :) Loved it sooo much. Not to mention how the awkwardness of being at the beach in February adds to it lol And then that little moment where he finally tells her, no fights, just letting it out. So moving.
I seriously had to take a minute before going to the next video because hearing Aaron telling Chas what his disgusting father did felt like hearing it for the first time, just like Chas did. I needed some air!
Me: 'I want to watch this....but I'm so scared. I can't watch it, yeah but I really do want to'. Reading the comments convinced me....but I was deadscared the last couple of minutes of this part. Great great acting!!
Erica Morales I think Cain will find out eventually. But I also know Chas is going to have her own chat with Gordon. Question remains: who'll she believe in the end and what is she gonna do......pff: my heart can't take much more.
+Dayliah1 Sometimes words come out of your mouth the way you feel at that moment. Or without thinking about them before. And I think sometimes it's better when it happens like that... There's no rule and everybody handles personal problems differently... Aaron doesn't have to use "nicer" words. It's about him, not about Chas. ;) Btw, I was a bit surprised, too.
+Dayliah1 i think that is exacly the monment when one often blurted things out like that. i'd been through that (not the same issue). and i think that is pretty reasonable one would confess their wound when feel loved. oh, my eyes just instantly geot welled up since it brings back how i was feeling
I read that when this scene was being filmed Lucy (Chas) suggested no rehearsal, she wanted Danny (Aaron) to just play the scene. People in this situation don't get a rehearsal so Emmerdale gets kudos from me for their sensitivity here.
I don't know if it was because of guilt thought. I mean, I know that's was Chas says, but I don't think Gordon actually feels any guilt for what he's done you know? In his head this is all Aarons fault (and maybe also Chas) I figure it was more manipulation to keep Aaron quiet.
I literally walked out of work when I saw these uploaded... OMG the feels! but Aaron is gonna hate Robert because of the way Chas started the conversation :(
+O'Brian McFiercen I'm not so sure... I think Aaron will be pleased that he's finally been able to tell his mum, because it needed to happen. Hopefully he won't hold it against Robert - him telling Chas did bring up the conversation, after all. We'll see, though :)
The tone of his voice always gets me when he says "Mum - "...
No matter how often I repeat watching that storyline.
"You have helped me. Bringing me back here helps. It's like I'm seven all over again, and it was the best day of my life." That line got me in tears.

The 'read it in a book' line KILLS me, it's so fucking cute!!

+Laety When he said that it sounded like Dom from Holby City hahaha
+gmoo84 I thought it sounded like Jackson.

so Wow .
I love the way he acted like a child, aww poor Aaron
the moment chas says fish and chips Aarons face changes :(
Yeah.... the way his face just changes just because she says those words is heartbreaking. You can tell that he is just immediately back with his dad, eating fish and chips, as if that could make up for the horrors of the previous night, and pretending like nothing was wrong. So well acted
Gemma Chester its one of the triggers to his past :-(

I applaud Emmerdale for not making this devastating confession into theatrical, hollywoodesque scene.
danny Miller is such a good actor and ryan hawley as well
Aaron and Chas's bond is amazing, yet overwhelming.
Aaron's face on 4:25 I'm crying too you beautiful man
LOL
Me too...
💔💔😢😢
The acting is out of this world good 😂.
There it is. Well done Aaron I can't wait for Aaron's mom reactions. Aww man they always leave me wanting more.

Its like I'm 7 all over again, best day of my life 😢😢 oh that got me, right in the heart. Its probably the last time he was properly happy 😢😢
I seriously had to take a minute before going to the next video because hearing Aaron telling Chas what his disgusting father did felt like hearing it for the first time, just like Chas did. I needed some air!
It's like I'm 7 all over again, probably the last time he was happy, it all changed after his 8th birthday :-(
Aaron Fan thanks so much for uploading so quickly. really appreciated.
It made me tears up every time. This scene.
Boooooom!!! There it is... Aaron said it!!
Her saying about fish and chips triggered him to say about the rape
Emotionally stunning - Chasron!
+Bryce Thompson They are so great together. Lot of history and chemistry.
Lucy Pargeter and Danny Miller. Combination....everything.
Me: 'I want to watch this....but I'm so scared. I can't watch it, yeah but I really do want to'. Reading the comments convinced me....but I was deadscared the last couple of minutes of this part. Great great acting!!
that's exactly how i felt lol
Erica Morales And there's still a part left I've got to watch....
I just finished watching it oh man i just can't wait to see if chas tells Aaron uncle or if she going to take care of gorden herself
Erica Morales I think Cain will find out eventually. But I also know Chas is going to have her own chat with Gordon. Question remains: who'll she believe in the end and what is she gonna do......pff: my heart can't take much more.
sssunit19 i know what you mean i just want Aaron to be happy
Omg that last 10 secs broke my heart
wow he just blurted it out like that.......... i'm glad he finally told Chas but he could have soften the blow
+Dayliah1 I know, I was totally not ready for that.

+suffl i know you're right but i was just was not expecting it to come out like that

The end of this video makes me cry. Every. Single. Time
I've a feeling Danny Miller could be a great comedic actoe.
Why did the 'fish and chips for tea' trigger Aaron...?
a good question
flipboidex because Gordon bought that out of guilt for Aaron as a kid
I don't know if it was because of guilt thought. I mean, I know that's was Chas says, but I don't think Gordon actually feels any guilt for what he's done you know? In his head this is all Aarons fault (and maybe also Chas) I figure it was more manipulation to keep Aaron quiet.
honestly as an Australian watching them walk on the beach with snow jackets on makes me want to die.
Fish and chips for tea, That's what did it, that's why he told his Mum. :-(
ohh god I love Aaron's character.. and what a great actor danny is
Guys, this place is Scarborough is it?
Does anyone know the location of the beach?
+leibniz It must have been somewhere close in Yorkshire where Emmerdale is filmed. I will see if I can find out.
+leibniz It was at Filey. The scenes were filmed on the 18th Dec.
Thanks for that. Perfect place as not too crowded to shoot these scenes compared to other beach areas.
Bailey Brat John King Thank you. Much appreciated.
I literally walked out of work when I saw these uploaded... OMG the feels! but Aaron is gonna hate Robert because of the way Chas started the conversation :(
