Si, your top is closer to Maroon (Qld state side colours), the socks are red, the bottle leaning toward orange. Maybe you should interview a colour specialist who can explain to you the concept of shades (not those portable windscreens you wear). What, not at all? Are you sure? The documentaries are good. I watch them more than the racing, especially as some of the big races aren’t available in Japan.
The Texas Hill Country: an area bordered by San Antonio on the south, Austin on the east, Llano on the north and Rocksprings/Junction to the west. Climbs around Kerrville--the geographic heart of the Hill Country--can be up to a mile, with gradients as steep as (sustained) 10-12%, with pockets close to 18%. Hank will love it. If the GCN folks want to make a trek, give a call and I'll be glad to give you great places to ride on and off road.
I've been using old, undersized inner tubes (e.g., 24" for 26" tire, 650b for 29" tire) stretched over the top of the tire to facilitate tubeless installation for years - works like a charm and cost me 0.00 $.
The leaky bottle hack/bodge is a problem if you use bottles a few years old. Over time they can leak a little, especially if you do squeeze them hard. I don't like to keep buying bottles all the time and try to get as much use out of what I have before throwing away and getting new ones. That's a good idea and I will be trying it!
@@gcn My only point would be to make sure the tape is WRAS approved, which is the plumbing standard for drinking water safe products. Just from working in the industry. But yes, definitely a hack.

Si, full mudguards can be fast! Not sure why they wouldn't be? Aero? Anyway I have a KOM on a short steep climb on my winter bike/commuter road bike with full mudguards. She still looks sleek and fast too, so they stay on all year round. I live in Stockport, so it rain all year round 😂

That darker, deeper red (not maroon) that goes good with "Christmas green." Very surprised (and chuffed) to see my comment appear in the show! If Hank needs extra convincing, we also have quite good Mexican food, beer...basically, we'll feed him 'til he pops. Also, I'm sure we can arrange a water-crossing if he'd like.

That was a hack for me too. Only certain bottles will fit on my small/xs bike frames so I use them to death.
