It would make little sense to maintain servers that only have five hardcore players who don’t mind grinding the same content five years into the server’s lifespan. Out of all the people who play classic WoW what percentage of players would have the dedication to level all ten classes to 80?
Cataclysm by far had some of the hardest heoric dungeons by far. People would cry about it for months, and Blizzard nerfed it. People complaining about the difficulty is what killed it.
