Every year that passes I get more and more jealous Canada (except for Quebec, strangely...) gets ten years ahead of us in the US for imports. I could get a nice Crown Athlete at this point! We're only just finally able to import the GC8 Imprezas. :(

PEI also has the same restrictions as Quebec. Mail carriers are exempt from the 25 years though. They're only subject to 15

Does any North American Toyota van share parts with this one?

I imported a Nissan Elgrand a few years back to 🇨🇦 but ended up selling it. Not enough part availability/ too much of a pain to work on and put $$ into, but I still am interested in the JDM vehicles. Any chance you know of any models that share almost all their parts with NA versions? Possibly interested in Honda CRV or Toyota RAV 4/ Hilux surf (diesel)

Subarus are great for parts sharing. I have a JDM 2006 legacy and though the engine is a little different, All major components are the same as North American market legacy. The crv and rav4 share the same components. Usually same name here in Canada and in Japan you can be confident to find the parts locally for it!

If I’ve asked this before I apologize, but isn’t that the exact same 3.0 V6 that was in the Highlander?

Yup, it’s the same engine as the Camry, ES300 and other Toyota models.

How reliable are these here in Canada I’m afraid to buy one and have our gas blow it up.
Should you have them tuned here or just go with 91-94?

@@TheRammy12Hi, from picture it seems that you own one alphard. I am really interested in buying one here in Vancouver, but gas and spare parts are my worries.
You answered that 87 gas works for you...what about those spare parts? Thank you for any insight.

@@petrhanousek4301 I have the 2.4l 4 cylinder which also came in Camrys and scion tc, so engine parts are not a problem, for brakes I believe sienna parts work, I haven’t replaced a whole lot to really know what I can’t get locally. Hope this helps

@@TheRammy12Thanks a lot! That's what I am hoping for that most of the parts are shared with other Toyotas sold here. If you don't mind me asking how is the mpg? I read from 33 to 50 mpg for hybrid, but I guess you don't have hybrid that I am looking at, right?
