Watching replay. It is a great project. I've never made an album like this as I tend to use the binder style that comes with page protectors. I can totally see times when I might try to make my own though. You explain your process well.
Thank you so much for this video and the following parts. I watched them all on the days their release days. The albums you made are such lovely, sturdy keepsakes, handmade from scratch! I'm back this week to watch them all again so I can make my own versions for Christmas presents. I'm trying for smaller albums, perhaps 5"x7" or 4"x6" with perhaps only 6 pages, so I have some math to work out in a minute, but most of the techniques will be based on this series. Again my thanks.
Hello Liz Watching the replay and working along with you. I have to say, I've never been a messy crafter but wow, I have glue everywhere 😂. I have stopped at least three times to wash my hands and clean my work surface with rubbing alcohol to get rid of the sticky! Hahaha having a blast though. I got to the point where you switched from making the red book to working in the pink book and will pick up again tomorrow after giving mine a chance to dry some.

HI Liz, I have never seen a hinge with the extra 1/4" ! Does this give you a bit more "room" for the extra things on the pages? What a clever idea! I am so enjoying all the "new" things you are doing on your channel. Continued prayers for your healing!
Hi Tami, ooo I have only ever done the extra 1/4". It does mean you can add extra dimension to the pages, especially as I added pockets to half of them. Lxx
Oh my word! I am making an album for the first time for a couple that had their baby 3 months early. Peter rabbit is my theme! I haven't been able to find much other than Etsy. Where did you get your paper packs? I was thrilled to see your video! I have always loved your channel. You explain things in a way thats easy to understand. The paper is from a UK Craft shop called Hobbycraft and was made by a company called A2V, which appears to be an Irish company, but manufactured in China (no surprise) by A2V in the UK. It is called 'The World of Peter Rabbit. I hope you manage to find it, or something similar. Part 2 goes live today, with Parts 3 and 4 to follow. Lxxx
Hi Liz, lovely to see you doing the album, I’ve made loads of them but never used tyvex , will be giving it a go. Hope you don’t mind me suggesting that have you tried adding the tyvex to the spine 1st then to the card then adding the cover pieces?? just a suggestion I’ve not tried or used it. I to have the xcut scissors, I think your right that they are decades old, loving watching your videos as always, Pat x
Hi Pat, you are right, the tyvek is added to the chipboard before the coloured card. The X-cut scissors are really old, especially the ones with the pink handles, but they have lasted really well. Thank you for watching. Lxx
