- Shay made his private, and someone asked if I had it..I do, so I just put it here. I love shay so much, and if I find out that he doesn't want it up here then I WILL REMOVE IT. Shay, if you happen to read this, please don't get mad, we all just love you so much and basically you are my hero, and one of the people I can relate to most, and basically you're my rock and a true hero to me. I love you shayley, and I wish the best of luck to you with everything. I hope you get better, and good luck with Dayshell, because you and Raul already sound amazing, and you can only get better. (:

Depression is a silent killer and I feel for Shayley. His music speaks to us all! Especially me. Love the way he expresses his true feelings behind the mic and with his lyrics. It's because of singers like him who keep us going through the toughest times of our lives. It's amazing how much pain he has, but even more amazing how that pain transitions to a beautiful, soothing voice... Shay if you see this, just know how much you mean to me and many of us all. You give us hope. Timing means everything, so let that true happiness come to you.
i wanted to cry honestly, he sounded so vulnerable. i know its not easy with everybody wanting something out of you and if you keep it going you were going to crack. i've been through it, i've seen it play out and its not something i would wish on my worst enemy let alone one of my hero's. its a hard thing to get over. and sometimes you just crack, you have a nervous break down and everyone is looking at you with worry and sympathy and pity and when your in that position already its the last thing you would ever want. so i get where he's coming from. we'll support and love and do whatever we can to help you, Shay. we're a family, and family sticks together. no matter fucking what dude
I love Shayley so much. I mean yeah, I didn't know Of Mice & Men when Shay was in it, but he's still the most amazing man I'll probably ever meet (I haven't yet).
I have been in a battle with self harm and the lack of my self confidence that when my only rock, my best friend, killed himself, I completely broke down and I couldn't take anymore. Ever since, I've had that battle with self harm and my self confidence went way down. And now listening to all of these bands; Of Mice & Men, Dayshell, Pierce The Veil, Halestorm, Avenged Sevenfold, ect, that have members that have gone through some things I have and now they're better just makes me feel like I'm going to be thankful that I got the bad chapter out of my life. Hearing their songs just lets me know I'll be okay, I've just got to wait it out. I've got to make a new chapter for my life and start writing it down.
Seeing this from Shayley and knowing he's okay now, gives me hope that I'll get better.
If you guys want to her his new band, look up dayshell!!! I'm so excited he's back performing again!! You are my hero Shayley!! Stay strong!! There's a TON of people who love you and will help you every step of the way!!
honestly im in tears after watching this. ive been meaning to watch this video for a few months now, but never got around to it until now. ive always had so much respect for shay, & ive always looked up to him, but those feelings just increased by a lot.

I never want Shay to feel so low ever again. He's one of my favorite people in the world and it breaks my heart to know that he was so depressed. I'm so glad he's getting his life back together though.
I love shay I agree with your decision because your a great guy and singer and artist one , my favorite in all honesty your vocals touch my heart when I'm depressed , my ex girlfriend stomped my heart after 2 years of believing she loved me and I thought she cared about me I just lost it and I felt hopeless but I kept listing to your vocals and thinking about your decision in getting help and I've been taking my days one step at a time , but you are my inspiration , I'm a huge fan

I feel like I'm the one of the only ones who didn't pick a side when it came to the whole 'Shayley VS. Of Mice & Men' ordeal. I still love and support them both just as much as I did before Shay left and I always will. Shayley is a huge inspiration to me for toughing it out as long as he did while also having to deal with personal things. That takes pure courage and strength.

This happened last June, and its still so raw :( I loved Shay in OM&M, I love him now, and I'll live him I'm his future band. He is so strong and such an inspiration.

Keep going! You are amazingly talented. You have so much potential, so don't think about the negativity and you will go so far. I like Of mice and men, but they were much better with you as a singer. Coming from a touring musician myself I completely see where your coming from Shay… it’s a totally different life on the road and so many people don’t realize that shit. The depression gets real especially when your sucked into an alcoholic/ drug based lifestyle EVERY SINGLE DAY and that’s the only thing your surrounded by there’s literally no escaping bad choices at every corner. I totally relate to you man and I know exactly where your coming from.
You made the right decision on stepping away! I’ve had to make that decision myself and buddy let me tell you it was very hard stepping away from something you truly do love, but sometimes self health is far more important than success in a toxic environment.
Man, stay strong. You have so much potential to be who you want to be. You have more heart than anyone I know. Don't give up here just yet, you swear your endings somewhere near. Don't ever let anyone tell you the sky is the limit when there is a footprint on the moon.

good news is that even though he isnt in om&m anymore, he still has the same awesome singing style and sound as he did in om&m. thats part of what made them so good.

For the longest, I thought it was Austin who sang the clean vocals until I found out it was this guy. Man, he's got a godly voice that definitely needs to keep making music. I personally respect this guy, but I definitely need to hear more music from him.

Exactly! He needed help. It takes alot of strength to leave.Life on the road has its temptations & it would be tough to give up the drinking and lifestyle and to admit he had a problem and to seek help for the problems take so much of strength.

When he talks about being our rock and being our inspiration was when I really started sobbing because he cares so much about us and he just looks and sounds like he can't stand himself and it's so painful to watch or listen to. it hurts but im glad he made the right decision.

I've been inspired by Shayley ever since he's gone public with music. Listening to anything that he has played or sang has always helped me through the worst of times. I remember seeing you in a group called chapters... I believe? Wayyyy back at the vault in Temecula and just thought holy shit this amazing. Then you went to omam and I was pretty bummed. I always wondered what great things could have came from chapters.
