It takes me back to the eighties. ❤ we used to play this song on our banjos . It was real zed music... the instruments were real . Listen to the keyboard, bass and lead guiter at the end... we never thought music was going to b played on a computer.....
Used to see these guys at the old Falcon Hotel opposite the RAOB, or ROAB, Club in Ndola, and at the Lowenthal Theatre in Ndola when Zambia Music Parlour organised a mini festival. They were loud and tight!
Mwansanga Tarvern in Kamuchanga in Mufulira, opens at 10 hrs. First song mu jukebox, this same one. I sm listening. living 80m from the beer hall as a small boy in primary schl.. The blackfoot.
I have been looking for this track. I like it, I used to attend their performances at Kansenshi Police Club in early 80s in Ndola. I like the Bass Guitar because I even used to know the Guitarist.
Point of correction! It was not 'Sacha', but 'Thatcher'. Earlier in Zambia's history of bus transport, There was Thatcher and Hopson (1945) Limited which later became the Central African Road Services (CARS) before finally becoming the United Bus Company of Zambia (UBZ).
This was hit early 80s Alfred on leading the vocalist and rthym guitar George Banda on drums Garry masupa on lead guitar and backing vocal paul chilufya on bass we whilst on piano one Chris malunga
