I'm possibly going to try a 70 percent pyrethrin solution I will report back whenever if ever I actually get rid of them. The problem is that they can make themselves as thin as a piece of paper and they can hide.
This is an interesting video, and the heat DOES really kill the bed bugs. But remember, heat rises and the bed bugs closest to the molding on the wall will EXIT under the molding to get up into the wall and avoid being killed. Then, they will come back as soon as the heat is gone, and a meal is available. This is even worse if you have carpeting under the molding, which protects the bugs from the heat. Failures of heat treatment occur when the bugs escape into the wall. In order to prevent this from happening, you need to BAIT the molding with powder to kill them as they try to escape, or at least follow up a heat treatment with molding treatment next to the bed. And take off the electrical covers and treat the boxes. Same with cable or telephone connectors. If you live in a condo or apartment with shared walls, they will colonize your neighbors and vice versa. Most drywall does not seal perfectly. Bed bugs can easily get into it and around it. HEAT RISES. There is insulation in the wall that protects them. Failures of heat treatments occur because they colonize the walls during the treatment. If you don't spend time to bait the walls behind and next to your bed, you will still get bitten. Some people bait with DE. I prefer Harris powder. It is more efficient and lasts longer. I've set my black balilistic camera back pack out in the sun in the Summer, and in about five minutes the bugs were abandoning ship in a hurry. Heat works.
I used to have them when i lived in london they smell awful when you squash them so dont squash them near your face stomp on them bedbugs are the reason why i dont want to live in apartment buildings cause once some idiot buys a mattress or a sofa off a random guy on ebay for a suspiciously cheap price the whole building will be taken over by them in a week
Fleas are also bad but they’re easy to get rid of you just buy flea spray wash your pet and put bowls of warm really soapy water everywhere that’ll attract trap and drown fleas

About two weeks ago, I noticed my neighbors tossing a bunch of furniture away, so I'm assuming he was the one who passed them onto me, probably through the wall that we share through the outlets. I had to throw away my entire bed, mattress, backboard, box spring, the whole nine. Even still, I wake up with bed bugs in my blow up bed (I have to sleep on a blow up bed now), fat from having fed on me. I fucking hate apartments so much. You really do rely on everyone to be good, and with so many people, there's always at least one mother fucker who just doesn't care.

I found multi treatment works best. So chemical, then after a few are dead powder. Steaming. Then chemical. Pretty much like getting rid of Covid. You need a multi facetted approach.

I got them in February. I had hives all over. I reacted so extremely we were ready to take me to e.r.. finally yesterday after months of trying to eradicate them ourselves we paid for heat treatment. Apartment was very hot on our return home. But we survived. I hope they are gone for good
You also have to treat the molding and electrical outlets behind and next to your bed. They will colonize the walls by crawling under the molding during the heating process. I use Harris powder to dust the molding and take the covers off of the outlets to bait them with powder. Especially behind and next to your bed. Heat very rarely gets into the walls. Even if the heat thermometer says the wall is 130 degrees, it is less than half behind the plaster board, especially at the bottom. Not well done. Stand up mattress and box spring, expose bed frame and put all items of clothing in the dryer. Strip room as much as possible. Should have vacuumed them first, then sprayed with chemicals, then steamed the rest. Do this every week till they are gone. That's how I got rid of my problem.
I paid $4200 for a heat treatment for my entire house. It failed. They came out and did a heat treatment on the room where I am getting bit. It failed. Now what do I do. the technicians keep giving me the run around. They even went so far as to tell me i have heavy metal poisoning or that I reinfected the house. I never stopped being bitten and have not stopped calling them. They promised it was guaranteed

Purdue-you know the college who has an entomology department. Apparently he knows more than the scientist who are studying bed bugs. I told him he either comes back or we are going to court. (only in my bedroom- I don't get bitten anywhere else but there) They said they sprayed the room as well. We called them again since got bit over a week ago. I'm highly allergic to them and breakout in a horrible rash that will itch for a month or more just from one bite. I went to the doctor and showed him the bites. He confirmed they were bug bites.
It sounds like you've got Pyrethroid resistant bugs? What have you used to try and get rid of them? I use a mix of Temprid FX and Gentrol IGR when doing treatments for people.
My God. I react insanely to one bite. I literally would probably die from an allergic reaction if I slept in that bed. My throat would probably close. One night in that bed has to be hundreds of bites. I had one bug bite me 10 times in a perfect line on my leg. My leg was swollen to the point of pain I had to take steroids. Then after a couple days the itching is like 10x a mosquito bite. I literally want to dig my flesh out.
I have a reaction too to mosquitos and any biting insect it all started with an infestation of fleas in our house years ago, now I get huge welts, red ones the size of a dime. They itch like crazy and the problem seems that the allergy gets worse the more I get bitten. I have no idea how those people sleep in that bed I would've lost my mind from the welts and itching.

A high quality steamer kills them on contact. step one) , pull all bedding and put it through a hot dryer cycle. at least 20 mins at 120 F. we did 60 minutes. do not overload dryer. put in small loads for good heat distribution. Step two) do the same thing to any loose or dirty laundry or laundry from any area that shows evidence of bugs or bug feces step 3) with a VERY STRONG vacuum (filter queen, Dyson, shark, Miele) vacuum every crack and crevice of mattress, box spring, bed frame, head board, carpet, everything. Be very careful. step four) using the best steamer you can buy or rent, steam every surface thoroughly. start with the mattress and box spring and work your way out from there. I used an Italian professional steamer called vaporetto. 220 degree steam, under pressure - shoots right through the mattress. For dessert, when mattress is dry from steam (within an hour) dust the whole mattress with diatomaceous earth, and put a sealed bed bug protection mattress cover on the mattress, just in case there are any survivors. This process takes about 5 or 6 hours per bedroom. Professionals will do this whole process for you for about 1,500. for a one bedroom apartment.

You can steam the molding too, but follow that up with Harris powder, which lasts for months! Most failures are due to wall colonies. Take off the outlet covers too. They typically hide in the mattress or the box spring during the day and come out when they sense body heat from some sleeping. It's not hard to miss bedbugs

So I have seen MANY videos about how to get rid of bed bugs. Ya know what they never tell you? SALT, salt your bed, thoroughly, sleep in it, put it liberally on your couch and sit in it. It dehydrates the bugs and they cannot feed off of you. Cheap and easy. Not all that diatomaceous earth shit and you don't need to pay thousands on a pest control company, just salt it, clean often and resalt it for a minimum of 6 months. Anyone who says you can get rid of them in 1 day is lying and prob trying to sell you something.
I know it works. I’ve tested this theory but the problem is you have to put it all over just about everything. I covered my carpet in every room with DE. It was a DE cloud in my whole apartment. I still have DE dust everywhere. It’s been about a week and I haven’t seen any bedbugs in a few days. I’m going to do weekly DE treatments for a couple months. Hopefully that kills all the life cycles.

Feeling itchy
Steaming is good because its so sudden and hot they don't have time to hide or adapt . Gradual heating pushes them to seek cool.
I use a diesel heater it only took like 4 minutes for the room to reach 160 f ..

Bedbugs hide very well. That's how they spread so rapidly before you even know. And they can be extremely tiny and hard to see
They typically hide in the mattress or the box spring during the day and come out when they sense body heat from some sleeping. It's not hard to miss bedbugs

Vacuum them up and throw away the filter outside.Dry everything that can be dried on highest heat setting on the dryer.

So I have seen MANY videos about how to get rid of bed bugs. Ya know what they never tell you? SALT, salt your bed, thoroughly, sleep in it, put it liberally on your couch and sit in it. It dehydrates the bugs and they cannot feed off of you. Cheap and easy. Not all that diatomaceous earth shit and you don't need to pay thousands on a pest control company, just salt it, clean often and resalt it for a minimum of 6 months. Anyone who says you can get rid of them in 1 day is lying and prob trying to sell you something.
I know it works. I’ve tested this theory but the problem is you have to put it all over just about everything. I covered my carpet in every room with DE. It was a DE cloud in my whole apartment. I still have DE dust everywhere. It’s been about a week and I haven’t seen any bedbugs in a few days. I’m going to do weekly DE treatments for a couple months. Hopefully that kills all the life cycles.

2 bed bugs produce a million mine started id feel my rist get bit thought it was masqeto and kept hapening it wasent tell every where i noticed them and suspected somthis so i was spraying first and couldent see them
