Middle Schoolers Save Dogs From Fire at Neighbor’s House

- A couple is hailing a pair of middle schoolers as heroes after the 12- and 13-year-olds saved their three dogs from a house fire. Mario Comella and Anthony Lombardi were passing a neighbor’s house when they heard a fire alarm going off inside. They called the homeowners, and were able to get the code to open the front door. When they opened it, they were met with smoke - but braved the danger to ensure the three dogs inside got out to safety.
The fact that they were close enough to their neighbors, to the point where they even had their number is...amazing! I barely knew some of my neighborhood's name.
I talk to them like I just met them for the 1st time everytime.
I video recorded one of my neighbors house burn completely down, Nobody called 911. They were a bunch of idiot crack heads and I have had to call the cops on them multiple times for their garbage all over the road and working on their vehicles at 2 in the morning!
They may not have there neighbours number because there contact the owner with there door bell .
Anyone can work their anytime.
I make an effort to familiarize myself with at least 3 neighbors. That way if anything happens to me the police have neighbor statements about my patterns or about me. Always makes me sad when I see cases where somebody dies in their house and they weren't close enough to any of their neighbors for them to check on them.
It's amazing they had the presence of mind to know exactly what was happening and how to respond. Somebody please give their parents an award.
Yeah I agree give the parents an award, but the kids need an even bigger one. The parents did a great job raising them, but the parents did nothing in this situation, this was all the kids.

I dunno man, when you undergo something traumatic you dont want to do it again. You will be stronger when facing it next time but will think more carefully about the options/ways around it

Imagine how hard that’d be as the homeowner. That terror of “no, kids, get away from the fire!” mixed with “please let my dogs out of the house!”.

0:32 there was no terror in the homeowner's voice. He gave him the code. On speakerphone and didn't even say "don't go in, call 911." These homeowners didn't care.

They've probably been over at their house plenty of times and know where the cage is already. As an Army veteran I can say these kiddos have guts. More guts and honor than most adults these days. Awesome kids that must have amazing parents. Way to go!

If I was ever in that situation and two kids did this to save my dogs, I’m immediately setting something up to help fund them going to college or use after theyre adults. I couldn’t imagine losing my boy, let alone 3, and that kid that ran into a neighbors home to save a dog that wasn’t even his own is an absolute hero, and obviously has great parents to raise someone like him.
Their parents should be proud, raised them well. Simply great job guys, just fantastic

The kid that went into the house to get the dog from the cage definitely looks like he could have a career as a firefighter. He’s so brave and selfless to put his life on the line to save someone else.

yes and we need to stop the educational system turning them into karens. I hope theyre homeschooled. Protect these kids and let father's lead them to do the right thing as God our father do intend it that way. We cannot love God our spiritual father and hate our earthly father.
You know that Mario would totally do it again. His mom and dad probably yelled at him because of how dangerous it was (totally understandable) but he has a big heart so I'm sure he'd do it again. Brave boys, cudos to the parents for raising them right.

I was thinking the same exact thing! Lol He's saying that because his mom told him to never do that again, but he would absolutely do it again. Hopefully he uses good judgment though. Seems this time he did, obviously he made it out safe. That may not be the case if there's a next time.

This literally brought tears to my eyes. Those boys deserve a metal for what they did. I'm crying just happy that those boys happened to be passing at the right time and they sprung into action instead of just recording it and posting it on line.

This is one of my greatest fears, having a fire while nobody’s home except for my dog and cat. Those kids should be very proud of themselves!

@@buchan448 That’s how people should react... Advising a child to run into a house that’s on fire, whether it be to save a dog or not, is incredibly dangerous and irresponsible. It’s great that he’s perfectly fine and heroically saved the dog, but I don’t know too many parents that would risk their child’s safety by telling them that the proper way to react to a house fire, is by going inside.
Those kiddos definitely deserve to be recognized as heroes.

Lessons: Don't leave things on cook-tops/stoves AND please don't leave pets *caged* in an unattended house. Fantastic, community-minded and decent kids!!
One of my dogs feels very safe in his cage when we leave, otherwise he has separation anxiety.

If they want to be policemen, they gonna have to find the non-corrupt PD for them to be trained how to respect the human’s rights. No racisms, no police brutalities and no discriminations against people of colors. They need to be trained the proper way of dealing with criminals, finding out the truths etc.

So true and thank god for that. So many times people have saved someone simply because Adrenaline took over. Its almost like it serves not just a purpose to help us protect ourselves, but also springs us into action for those around us too. It really "takes a village" and even the littlest members of the village can save the day.

Well safety is the problem in the we become two safe from sports, auto racing and life has become way too safe. Theirs no such thing as to much danger. But their is such a thing as to much safety as to much safety leads to a very false view of the world and it makes people selfish in acts. 90 years ago you where shunned if you didn't help someone in your community even if you never helped them in the passed now a days your shunned if you do. @@SL-lz9jr yep. In the city we don’t interact with any of our neighbours. People have become so glued to their iPhone’s and rushing around that we can’t even take a second to stop, look up, & say hello. It’s concerning. We’re like robots.

They're not heroes for risking their lives over an animal that contributes nothing whatsoever to society. They jumped at the chance to throw away their futures as valuable workers, husbands, fathers, all for an animal that can be replaced for less than $100. They're stupid and they're cowardly. Not heroic. If my kid did this he'd never see the light of day again

You can tell those boys were raised with self-respect dignity as well as good morals and values protecting their neighborhood that just warms my heart there is still hope in this world and it starts with those little babies right there
Those boys showed their respect for life by saving those dogs and even risking their own. So proud of them and thankful everyone is ok. 👍🏼✌🏼🇺🇸
I watched three of these stories in the row..and I'm not known for crying on things like this...but this one made me cry!
I tip my hat to these brave kids and to the parents who taught them to be courageous and do the right thing.

This is so heroic. Even though the house did not catch fire, the smoke could have still killed the dogs. The kids should be very proud of themselves!
