  • Chuck Zwicky has been described as equal parts audio expert and scientist. He’s built studios, designed plug-ins and recorded, mixed and mastered hit records. His credits include Prince, The Rembrandts, Reggie Watts, Soul Asylum, Nine Inch Nails, the Jonas Brothers and more.
VSig is a cross-platform visual editor that enables the creation of custom algorithms for the H9000 products. With VSig, signal processing modules ranging from simple mixers to diatonic pitch shifters may be connected together, allowing for a wide range of audio effects to be designed on screen.

So the difference between the H9000 and R is just the display and controlsection?

The only difference is the front panel. Otherwise the H9000R is the same, under the hood.

When it comes down to digital FX, anything can be copied exact 1 to one. The only difference in the hardware sound might be a couple of pieces of solid state components here and there. Does that little bit really justify the price difference? Analog pre-amps - op amps ect. will always sound different, but thousands better? Deep down I wonder what the software department would really say in secret chambers. Todays common computers can eat these algorithms for lunch all day. Some quality analog ins and outs could make all the difference.

I don't like how Eventide drip feed us the algos as plugs only for them to sound worse, according even to their own promotion. I do not believe modern PC are incapable of running H_series effects chains.Even Soundtoys provide more (classic) eventide effects (eg. crystallizer) than eventide themselves.
Eventide should just do a fully blown H3000 plug. Or at least something with some instant CHAINS of fx.
