    Using the hand mold for bathbombs as a scoop made me chuckle a little bit. I held my first live class and had... 4 people tune in. So I needed this little laugh as I'm not feeling super confident after that.

    Lovely! I add Petitgrain and Lemon to my household soap which are both anti-bacterial and grease cutting and it smells wonderful. I love using organic soap in my home. My hands don't dry out and everything sparkles. Besides vinegar I use nothing else in the home. These are the soaps from the past but also of the future because they're so kind to the environment.

    The trimmings of the soap if still soft and pliable can be pressed together to form a bar of soap. Maybe the bath bomb press can help you out with that. Just keep packing after every press until it reached desired height.

    We have really hard water here and I notice that I get quite a bit of soap scum from my CP soap. Does anyone have any advice to combat this?

    • @debbieescobar6267
      @debbieescobar6267 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Citric acid is a good chelator used by many soapmakers to reduce soap scum. It binds to the metal ions (which are making your water hard), but also remains water soluble so the bound complex washes down the drain. You dissolve it in the DW before adding the lye, and recommended amount is 1% of your oils. If you add too much it will react with the NaOH and you’ll end up with a high SF. Hope this helps!

    • @keidytanner
      @keidytanner 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You don't need to wait in the melt&and poor technique, once the soap is cold and dry (24 or 48 hours, it depend of the temperature on your house) you can use it!! Hope it help!! Try cold process, is not dangerous if you have the right protection, and it's a wonderful art, you'll gonna love it!! Good luck!! :)
