I think we all need to consider that maybe the neon nerfs are a bit much to where you cant even do half the things other duelists can anymore? As a neon main of 2 years from plat to ascendant, i 100% agree that the sliding accuracy was fucking ridiculous and shouldnt be in the game, but removing a slide, increasing an ult point AND cutting it by half is a bit much. She is literally worse than her pre buff state, because at least she had 2 stuns, but now she really has nothing. I cant tell you how many times ive gotten one tapped while sliding, sometimes even by stunned players. Even if you say "ohhh her sprint recharges faster than before," playing neon for any amount of time will make you realize that pre buff neon's sprint timer was insanely low and kinda unusable. Her being able to rotate quickly should be part of her character, and her movement with wasd instead of utility like raze or jett is what made her special. Theres so much tech you can learn and shes a fun agent, but these nerfs really are a bit much. No, there's no. Jett and raze is just much more better to take space than Neon were in the first place. The only diffreance between Neon and the other entry duelists, was that she could kill players while doing entry. Jett and Raze can't kill while in the air unless ultimate. Now Neon is a just a worse agent than when she wasn't buffed.

tbh, i think neons nerf was slightly too harsh, 10 seconds may seem like a long time but think about it in a real game, you get blinded/stunned and that’s basically half your ult gone (i suggest increasing the duration to 15 seconds so you have leniency, while reducing the charge/ammo you have while in her ult - from I believe 40 to around 30 would be good, and also nerfing the recharge time, waiting longer before it starts to accumulate again - because a lot of neon players like holding down left click, and there should be a penalty for doing so on the contrary, vyse is ever so slightly too powerful to me now, making agents such as jett raze and yoru instantly needed when going up against her she just needs to be slightly balanced, I feel like slightly reducing the duration of her shear by half or one second, and reducing the duration of her razorvines by one second, and increasing the cost by 50 (like i guess what they did with the jett smokes i guess, at first I believed it would kill jett making her smokes only last 2.5 seconds, but now it isn’t so bad) the slight cost increase is to prevent people from buying a shear, razorvine and light shield on pistol, which I do a lot and find to be very strong
its crazy how they buffed her to be a real competitor against jett and raze as entry duelists by giving her a second dash, and now that shes actually relevant, they make her worse than she was before with one stun and shorter ult. If the most frustrating/busted part about her was the slide accuracy, they shouldve just reverted that.
1. People saying one slide is too much, like the 2-kill recharge trait exists. I at least support the 2 stuns should return tho. 10 seconds sounds a lil too much on paper, but compare it to like Raze ult, Jett ult and DL ult, this seems fair enough where you have to make it count. 2. The Razorvine nerf was unnecessary, it gave Vyse some more tricks to play beyond just "on the ground" or lineups. When they said QOL improvements, I thought they were gonna improve the visuals of the vines reaching the ground(when placed on top), not take it away. Truly the 9/11 Update.
Pre-Buff Neon -> Current Neon Differences Side Sprint is Faster -> Doesn't Matter since you could've jump strafed as a tech to avoid the speed reduction before the buff. This change just made her noob friendly. Her stun is slightly bigger and lasts about 0.5s longer -> This was done bc the stun charges was being reduced to 1 with a 2nd slide being added. The logic behind this was that 1 stun and a 2nd slide was seen as less impactful on site takes bc with 2 stuns, you could essentially stun all important angles on most sites which was seen as too easy. The current charge reduction no longer makes sense bc she now has 1 slide. Slide Accuracy is better -> Hitting headshots mid-slide are hard/rare. Most of the time neon is hitting the hs JUST before her slide ends. This existed before the buff and would look like you hit a sliding hs when in reality neon timed it just right. Ult cost increased and ult time nerfed Case and Point -> Neon is objectively worse in site takes/retakes and engaging as a duelist than before the buff.

why change the ping system, just worsening low level gameplay. It is easier to com in high level gameplay alongside pings, however in mid range solo q its going to be hell when newer players cant see pings when someone is just saying the location instead.

For everyone hating on the new ping, riot had to do this to solve the spike spam problem. You see, people could easily ping then spam spike making post plant near impossible. So, to try to remove this strategy, riot nerfed the ping. It didn’t have to be this bad, but they did what they had to.

The patch notes say "Now slows enemy dashes similar to Sage’s Slowing Orb and concusses." So they're just saying that Razorvine now is harsher against dashes, similar to how slow orbs / concusses now stop dashes from going as far. Not actually adding a stun to the razorvine

Smokes were useless before cuz team mates ping and other just spray the smoke but now the smokes are over powered. This is better tbh.

1. People saying one slide is too much, like the 2-kill recharge trait exists. I at least support the 2 stuns should return tho. 10 seconds sounds a lil too much on paper, but compare it to like Raze ult, Jett ult and DL ult, this seems fair enough where you have to make it count.
2. The Razorvine nerf was unnecessary, it gave Vyse some more tricks to play beyond just "on the ground" or lineups. When they said QOL improvements, I thought they were gonna improve the visuals of the vines reaching the ground(when placed on top), not take it away.

Pre-Buff Neon -> Current Neon Differences
Side Sprint is Faster -> Doesn't Matter since you could've jump strafed as a tech to avoid the speed reduction before the buff. This change just made her noob friendly.
Her stun is slightly bigger and lasts about 0.5s longer -> This was done bc the stun charges was being reduced to 1 with a 2nd slide being added. The logic behind this was that 1 stun and a 2nd slide was seen as less impactful on site takes bc with 2 stuns, you could essentially stun all important angles on most sites which was seen as too easy. The current charge reduction no longer makes sense bc she now has 1 slide.
Slide Accuracy is better -> Hitting headshots mid-slide are hard/rare. Most of the time neon is hitting the hs JUST before her slide ends. This existed before the buff and would look like you hit a sliding hs when in reality neon timed it just right.
Ult cost increased and ult time nerfed
Case and Point -> Neon is objectively worse in site takes/retakes and engaging as a duelist than before the buff.
The amazing thing is now cypher becomes even more useful on post plants as you can set a cam up on spike, when they smoke spike to defuse its gg

So if an enemy is defusing and is smoked by his utility or his teammate smoke, sometimes our crosshair wont touch him OR the agent is displaced away from the planted spike position. This is why sometimes it takes forever to kill an enemy in the 'pinged' position when theyre inside their smoke/teammate smoke. Now since replay system is coming, I think this update on ping nerf is to get rid of evidence and people from exposing this, by preventing us from comparing the live game POV vs replay POV

riot logic: Buff a character that litrally breaks the game, then nerf the same character to the point where they become unplayable.
whole purpose is to; keep us playing and hooked, keep us guessing, hard to get game. all of this? to increase revenue by increasing player base, increasing player retention system, fast queuing times etc. Riot is business and not just a game company. Thats how you maximize revenue on a 'free' game

why change the ping system, just worsening low level gameplay. It is easier to com in high level gameplay alongside pings, however in mid range solo q its going to be hell when newer players cant see pings when someone is just saying the location instead.

Can't tell you the amount of times I and others have lost a round or a game due to a no comm teammate. Comms can make all the difference and you take away a ping!

For everyone hating on the new ping, riot had to do this to solve the spike spam problem. You see, people could easily ping then spam spike making post plant near impossible. So, to try to remove this strategy, riot nerfed the ping. It didn’t have to be this bad, but they did what they had to.

The patch notes say "Now slows enemy dashes similar to Sage’s Slowing Orb and concusses."
So they're just saying that Razorvine now is harsher against dashes, similar to how slow orbs / concusses now stop dashes from going as far. Not actually adding a stun to the razorvine
