Whole day singing with you Mark, David, Michael, Guy & the rest of the Band is my comfort especially on days that my bones ache. (My cancer has invaded my bones for 3 years now). Oh how i love this particular song which has a line - How'd you like to spend eternity in Paradise Island - coz it makes me feel again the presence of my dad & mom. Bill said, this song was first sang or recorded sometime in 1952? I & my siblings grew up with parents filling our home with Gaither's songs they love. Genesis 3:15 says it is the offspring of the woman who crushes Satan's head, not the woman....it's Jesus. I have concerns about a drifting theology in Gloria after reading a blog with Richard Rohr that Gloria did. Her 'Cosmic Jesus' is drifting into the New Age version of God/Jesus/Spirituality. Richard Rohr is a contemplative prayer proponent, which in essence sounds lovely until you recognise the drift into the practices that come out of Buddhism and Hinduism using christianised terms. God says we are to have nothing to do with false gods and false religions. Satan is subtle and deceptive and comes as an angel of light to deceive. The bible says before Jesus comes, there will be a GREAT apostasy, not just AN apostasy, but a great one. We need to be discerning about dilution of the truth by knowing what the Word really says, rather than a half truth. Often this is done using a beautiful language of hope, unity and love, which we all know to be right and good, but as the Bereans did, we need to search the scriptures for God's version of truth, not man's. I say this with love and concern for the saints that I see trusting in the thoughts of people they admire without discernment.
Diane Orrin & Debbie H. you need to pray for the cults...instead of hating and judging them. They can be reached and taught what grace truly is. God plucked me out of a cult, and brought me into a "born again" relationship with Him...and an ongoing sanctification work that He does. God bless you with eyes to see and ears to hear what God is actually saying to people with thoughts and histories that don't quite fit into your mold of whatever it is you believe and the measuring stick you mete out others every word. I'm praying for YOU.

Anyone who claims to follow Christ but does it live it, not only CAN but MUST be called out on it. That is Bible. Like they said, it isn't what most today wish to hear, but it is STILL the only way. Prayer is wonderful and we better be praying for these people and loving them too. But if you do this, and let sin continue to be promoted and souls to be decieved their blood will be on your hands . Countless examples are given in both Testaments in our Bibles of the condeming of people who were wicked-these being interestingly enough said to Christians, the religious, NOT to the Sinner. It is the things you speak of that cause many to be lost. Too many want to pray and all the while let the lies continue without taking action. Any Christian who does this is in danger themselves. If you think you know what judgment God will mete out on those who judge, consider this is speaking of hypocritical judgment. No Christian who has never been in such a sin or else has truly repented and turned away from it, will be judged by God. Plain and simple. It is our duty to spread the truth to all who are decieved by the Advesary of our souls. They are NO better than people such as Joel Osteen and his so called Gospel which is really NO Gospel whatsoever!!!!!!! More people need to be like Diane & Debbie. And I am proud. Yes, PROUD to count myself among them. They don't need to consider their ways, they line up perfectly with scripture in this matter, it seems you are the one a bit confused.
