In tennis there is no fake injury because you play no mercy. Now if you are affected by your opponent's injury you are mentally weak.

Then he start faking injury to have massage, medical help and rest and come stronger. Now Yannick vis following Novak. Get medical break etc.

Well I would feel salty too if I was that good, won 4 slams already at that age, beat Djokovic easily before and lost against him at places you haven’t won the big prize yet (Olympic Gold and AO) I don’t think Alcaraz was being rude. He’s young and still maturing. He’s definitely a great person and at his age still has a lot to learn believe it or not. Djokovic is facing Father Time for the first time this year and he will continue to face those wake up calls just like Federer, Nadal, Serena and others. I would love to see him get to 25, but he doesn’t need to. He has the open era record for men and Serena for women. Nobody should be talking about Margaret Courts 24 slams with all due respect she was a great player but she played against amateur players for a while and those matches were before the open era which if you look it up would be laughed at today!

I recall Nadal losing 7 games in a row, I think it was, against Djokovic at Roland Garros, some years ago. Djokovic was absolutely on fire, and Nadal wasn't at all happy. He was visibly rattled and constantly complained to the umpire about the spitting rain, and eventually got the postponement he wanted, though I doubt he'd have whinged for one second had he been the one winning the last 7 games in a row. After resuming the next day, on a much drier court, the match massively changed, and Nadal went on to win from a losing position. Don't recall many people whingeing about that type of gamesmanship, but it was obviously a tactic. Still, you get it in all sports: just look at the Premier League if you want to see a bunch of cheats surrouding the referee, trying to influence him. Every athlete is looking for an edge. It's just the way it is.

This history of faking injuries happens with djokovic all the time. In his matches with Alcaraz, he has called the trainer now three times in a short head to head. It’s ridiculous and he knows it’s gamesmanship. Serena Williams did it all the time too and never really got called out on it. It does throw your opponent off. I also think it’s ridiculous that he goes into the locker room unattended whenever he’s down for a long period of time and comes back totally different. Is anybody monitoring what he’s doing when he’s back there? The guy is an absolutely incredible player, but this has been a narrative for him for a long time and the last several slams he’s won in Australia alone he has claimed he has had really bad injuries, but has looked totally unaffected in the matches. We can hold two thoughts at once: celebrate the guy for the greatness that he is while also calling out this type of behavior. As I said, it was the same exact thing with Serena Williams.

No doubt Novac is a great player however when he retires he also has a big future in a Hollywood medical drama. Yes indeed your actions on court shape your reputation. Never saw Federer act or take a dive.

What an illiterate comment! Where is the interpunction? The whole comment in only one sentence and it is not clear what the author wants to say. Horrible!

Djokovic words must always be taken with a very large grain of salt. I Australia Djokovic himself personally identified and confirmed his poor character and his very questionable integrity when he FORMALLY LIED to the Australian Immigration and was put under house arrest and then legally deported from Australia! FACADES always hides the ugly realities of the true core self.. and Djokovic is a master of FACADES! Carlos Alcaraz is an exemplar of strong good character and solid integrity...CONSISTENTLY!

the problem is that, over the years I have seen Novak give the impression of injury and psychologically it really does affect the game...sorry to say it folks but it is a tactic he has used many times and it works and i have come to respect him less for it. It is gamesmanship....i have seen it too many times where he suddenly has an amaaazing comeback and no hint of injury.

Did he take MTO'S? Of course he did. One can only wonder what's the use of a MTO and treatments by medical personnel if the player is not suppose to be better afterwards. Isn't it exactly the case with Sinner's MTO the day before although there seems to be more questions about that one.

novak is a master of fake injury, that was happened when he played against Nadal for many times. eq Watch the video the australian open in 2012 Nadal vs Djokovic, especially in 5 th set.....

In AO 2025, 3rd round early in the second set against Machac, novak was broken against his serve. Sensing Machac was about to turn the table on the second set after his first set 6-1drubbing, novak suddenly felt sick and asked for a medical time-out and a doctor. After the doctor gave him a pill, he came back playing at the fourth game of the 2nd set super fit like he was a19 yo teen, magic! That took Machac off his rhythm. That's how fake Jerkovic was with his dirty tactics!

Novak was down 1-2 in the second set, he came back from the medical time-out and made it 2-2. Watch from now on at 2-2, did he look like he was sick? You are right, he is the master of fake injury.

One reporter asked Carlos whether Novak was faking his injury. Actually The reporter planted the seed of doubt into Carlos mind. Otherwise Carlos might not have made sucha a remark
