- Trending Cartoon Cakes are a big one this year and so easy to make, if you are comfortable using fondant and have limited equipment then this cake is perfect for you.
The only fondant cutters used were for the `Number` & `Letters` everything else has literally been done by hand.
The Cartoon cakes just POP they are so colorful and eye catching perfect for any celebration cake and it could also be classed as an illusion cake as people think they are looking at a drawing.

Thank you so much for your lovely kind feedback, Im purposefully trying not to use too much equipment in my more recent content because I think there will be an awful lot of people opting to make there own cakes this year and if I can make tutorials where you don't need a whole cake studio full of expensive cake decorating equipment them it could be invaluable for so many people xxx

It really is a very simple cake to make, just take your time when adding the black sausage shapes as it's those that make the cake a Cartoon cake. Don't be afraid , your daughter will love it, just enjoy the process

You are so welcome! and I hope you found the content helpful, remember you don't really need much equipment for this design, its all done by hand apart from the Number and Wording on the Cake drum so it's excellent for hobby and Begginer bakers.

I purchased mine directly from the brand patchwork, they do have an official website where you can purchase there items x
How do you roll your black icing so thin and uniform?
Use a High Quality fondant, plenty of icing sugar as black fondant tends to be more sticky start rolling and constantly move your finger from the centre to the outside and back in again, with practice this method of rolling keeps it all the same size x
