    Thank you so much for this review! When looking for a high end set I was watching and reading many many reviews, obsessively! I was looking between these and the Aeons, and my friend, I was hesitating as it was a large step up for me, but your genuine nature and "warm kiss full of darkness" sold me on them! I've never been more pleased with something! I am very treble sensitive, and it is insanely difficult to find something high end that is warm, yet full without sacrificing detail. I was interested also in the LCD-X, but between you and Zeos, I was able to choose these. After having them for a month, I miss them when I'm not at home, words cannot express! I know this is late, but wanted others to know as well, if you are sensitive to high frequencies but want to turn up the volume, hear the detail without feeling something is missing, and not be murdered by treble, I highly recommend them, I couldn't be happier! Vielen Dank aus Amerika!

      Janer Honestly I wish I had more experience, I started with a Vali 2, and it really does a marvelous job. I don't have enough experience with gear to recommend anything with confidence to you, but I am very happy with my Modi Multi and Vali 2 listening to Tidal.

    Got these at the 600 dollar price when they first came out. these are on a different level. these are my end game. I own the 650, m1060, and the 400i. These are hands down my fave. for music, media, and especially gaming.

    • @510MyTube

      Luis Moreno how is the low end compared to the 650 and 1060? I'm thinking about selling my 6xx and 1060 and buy myself a lcd-2c. I listen to a lot of rap and top 40 music.

      510MyTube its more refined than the 1060, its truly planar sound and bass. I too listen to a lot of rap. I listen to a lot of edm and drum and bass too and the lcd2c is my favorite.

      Keep in mind that the lcd2c is heavy compared to the 650s, still comfortable but heavier than both. as far as comfort the 650 is hands down the winner. but i still game a lot with the lcd2c too

    I'm in the same boat, I went and tested all of the totl line stuff, mx4, clears ect. and you know what...regardless of price I like the lcd2c the most (and the aeon flows open and hd800s but they are different) lcd2c can be your end game if you like the signature.

    I just tried the LCDx's for about 3 hours a few days ago. I can say that all the love he has for those LCD2's is absolutely equal to how I feel about the LCD x's. Now I wanna know how the 2 compare. The X's were so amazing at strings, vocals, crunchy guitar. Then I turned on Rip and Tear from the Doom 2016 soundtrack... OMG it was so exhilarating, by the time the song was finished my heart was pounding and I was breathing hard! I heard things in every song that I never heard before.

    Hey Damir!
    Recently I've bought these cans and they're great (coming after HD 650). Do you think that Graham Slee Solo will be enough to amp them propetly? The Solos were working really good with HD 650, but LCD2C are more amp-picky. So I'm not sure if I should think about changing my amp aswell to get the full potential from Audeze's cans.
    Love Your content. Keep the good work!

      They sound amazing and are special headphones. Yes, they are very comfortable to wear - though not the lightest I own.. I enjoy them big time for rock and roll and Digital music & Hip Hop etc ...Their sound signature is open, detailed, fast and dynamic with awesome bass for an open Dynamic Headphone / has pretty good width but the sound is CLOSE compared to other cans at times with certain songs. Consider yourself RIGHT up front by the stage at a concert rocking out... So after listening to them for a while I do enjoy a change to other headphones I own that are more relaxed and further away from the sound if that makes sense. I love them. But they aren't constantly used. I like having different Cans personally so they fit right in.

    • @Berkanann
      @Berkanann 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Clears are amazing. More detail and resolution than the LCD2C but more upfront and energetic. Too energetic to me after a while. I ended up with the 2C. Better fit to my music taste and preference in sound and I couldn't justify the price difference. Even though the Clear is technically a better headphone I prefer the 2Cs.
      The Clear definitely doesn't feel cheap build. But it doesn't feel a more expensice build than the 2C either.

      Wow, I've tried these and I can honestly say they're my favourite headphones, with the DT 1990 pro and HD 650 in joint second. Though I've never tried the LCD X or Focal Clear which I've heard are also great.

    • @Kratos3962
      @Kratos3962 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are they really that dark? Is the DT 1990 more resolving?

    • @Kratos3962
      @Kratos3962 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thx, currently I have the Beyer Amirons, they are like a super smooth, laid back version of the DT1990s. Good for jazz and "relaxing" music, but imo not the best with music that is meant to be "intimidating" or "dramatic". The recessed mids are not helping either when listening to music led by female vocals.
      Not really sure if the LCD-2 Classic is the one I'm looking for considering I find the Amirons to be muffled and unenergetic (if such a word exists).
      Too bad there's not many (read: zero) stores in Europe where you can try these bad boys out.

    Great review, really enjoying your content! It's funny, I'm also debating whether to pick up these, or the L700s (which I demoed for about 40 minutes). I'd love to know which way you end up going!
    I already have hd660s, which image really well - and the L700's feel like a brother to the 660. They're super textured, fast, and have a verticality to the sound that is very unique. They are the best sounding headphones I've ever tried - however, I don't know if they sounded $1500 better (+ the $1200 amp!), though I'm sure with more time, I'd come to appreciate the differences more. The bass is insanely fast, you can hear a tremendous amount of detail in it; the treble is transparent, and so clear.
    But for what it's worth, and to me, it does matter - they also don't look nice, and feel flimsy/fragile. They're comfortable, but the pads aren't that thick - it feels like I'm compromising on comfort for sheer sound quality.
    I'll go try the LCD2C next weekend; but there's a lot of appeal to me for getting these. I'd have a dark, full pair for music and singleplayer games in the 2c; and a bright, vibrant set for critical listening and competitive gaming with the 660s.
    The stax feel more specialized, and for the same cost as the stax + amp, I could buy a new computer and the lcd2c. Stax are finicky, you need a dust cover, can't use them with wet hair. For me in the stage of my life I'm at, my gut feeling is that I'll pick up the 2c, get a new computer, and in a few years, just skip the L700s altogether, and look at the sr-009s with a stax solid state amp.

      Tough choice, out of the box without EQ the Denon lacks a bit too much highs for a closed one, but with proper tweaking the XP might me better, the LCD2C sound very different, out of the box better, but also way more neutral

      On PC you can actually download reveal from Audeze, it's a plug in that fixes the curve, I didn't get to try it yet myself but I heard it's supposed to make it even better than it already is but sure a normal eq should do the trick if you adjust it accordingly

    • @TheNitpicker

      They are quite different, the Audeze is more mid present, has clearer highs, a deeper but less thick and hard bass. It's more relaxing but also more revealing. The denon is more fun in certain situations but not quite as sophisticated. It would be a good choice if you want something additional that's the opposite of what you already have

Why have several if one pair can ‘best’ ‘em all? I do have a concern over the Audeze weight. Seems they make heavy & clunky design choices in all of their HP units.
