I just want to say thank you for the update! I was already thought of returning my whole unit and expansion battery back to Anker. Now that they have an update to fix the A/C issue I have changed my mine. Btw they should at least sponsor one your video at this point😂
@@TesSheen When I plug in my outlet tester into the power station, I noticed that it showed correct wiring only if the Anker is being charged. Although, when the Anker 767 is not being charged, it displayed hot neutral reverse. Upon contacting customer support, I was informed that I didn't have to plug the tester into the 767 when in inverter mode because it does not differentiate between the Neutral and Live wires. which means testing the outlet won't be accurate without the station being plugged in to a charger. I am also experiencing some issues with the A/C, as it still shakes. I am thinking of getting in touch with Anker to request a new update firm, just like how you did for one of your recent videos.
Ya. Mine is the same. Shows correct only when unit is charging. When your AC unit shakes is the wattage output erratic? Think the new firmware is available to everyone.
yea, customer service tried to dodge this in my opinion, until I uploaded my video to TH-cam and they had to address it. it sucks these companies use their customers as beta testers. They use TH-cam influencers for marketing. I find it interesting, none of the influencers that received their unit for review said anything about the hot/neutral reversed wiring, and the erratic wattage output I had.
Great info thanks! I am researching between this unit and others to power my RV. Is there a batch number I need to avoid for the bad outlet wiring issue? Where is this info on the package?
Thanks for the update and glad the firmware fixed the issue. I’ll be interested to see if they’ve pushed out the firmware to everyone once I get home from my work travels this week.
Follow up question. I am currently interested in purchasing this unit, how do I avoid getting one with fauilty wired outlets as you experienced? I'm going camping next month and need a good unit the first time.
Use a power conditoner to stabalize the wattz/voltage plug that into the Anker and then plug in your unit into the power conditioner. That should do the trick.
is your reversed polarity when unplugged fixed now? Just got a new 767, tested it, and mine shows the reverse polarity when unplugged. It “fixes” when you plug in into an AC outlet.
Thanks for the update. I just got mine and have hot/neutral reversed when not connected to wall outlet, but correct polarity when plugged in. Is your polarity correct when plugged into the wall and when just on battery? Thanks for any help you can provide.
@@TesSheen - I am not an electrician, but some how this does not sound right. I have a 757 and it is the same (normal) plugged in or on battery. How is on battery power normal to have hot and neutral reversed? Some how that doesn't sound like that is normal for some reason, especially since my Anker 757 does not do that. I could see it saying 'Open Ground' at worse case on battery power cause it is not grounded, but Hot and Neutral reversed? Maybe someone else can clarify for us?
@@TesSheen - Thanks for the quick reply. I watched some more of your videos and in the one marked 'ANKER POWERHOUSE 767 STILL NOT WORKING' a User (Davey) you was talking with says the following which would indicated has nothing to do with the TT30? See below: Davey: The unit I purchased one month ago had reverse polarity. I received a replacement unit 2 weeks ago. My replacement unit passed all testing with a receptacle tester and a multimeter. Here's what you should see with your tester. With the unit not plugged into the wall outlet and the inverter button on you should get an open ground signal because it is not grounded (middle light with your tester). With the unit plugged into a wall outlet and the inverter button on you should get correct polarity. What you are seeing does not look right. Reach out to Anker.
Hi Sheen; When you have the solar panels connected to the 767 you are effectively in bypass mode, which similar to the AC bypass mode; will cause the air conditioner to run normally with no vibration. Have you tried to run the air conditioner without the solar panels connected? This would be the correct test; to have the 767 run your air conditioner on battery only mode. If the air conditioner does not vibrate on battery only mode, then the firmware update actually resolved this issue. Can you try this out and post an update video? Thanks
Question: The "Car socket" inputs...are those for charging the battery? If so, have you tested how long it takes to fully charge the 767 while driving your car? Thanks for sharing your results! Also, how many BTUs does that AC push? Cheers!
The car sockets are output only. You can charge from your cars socket, not sure how long it would take to fully charge, but pretty long. And it’s a 5000btu AC
Ecoflow Delta 2 of mine not charging by AC, DC or solar. They sent a new unit and same problem. Lesson is we may need to build ourselves if these companies put out flaws.
@@TesSheen This was my first EcoFlow after using a DIY for 4 years. I was willing to pay more from a trusted company so that led me to Anker and your video. Anker is asking for my Serial Number and "Account Name" so I can get the 1.2.2 Firmware. Do you know where I find those two things? (I looked on the unit I could not find the serial number). And is the account name just my email address? Thank you SO MUCH for your video , I have this EXACT issue!!!
I don’t understand why they aren’t pushing the new firmware to everyone. The account name is the one you use to sign up for the app. And the serial number is on the bottom on the unit.
