Fishing The Strait of Georgia Coast In Search of Lingcod and Rockfish | EP40

This week, we finally get to break in our new motor with a trip to the island!
The tide was opposite of ideal, but we were more than excited to head out anyways! We start our day heading towards Nanaimo. We hang out around Gabriola Island, fishing around Thrasher Rock, slowly working our way south towards Valdez and Galiano Island. We didn't find a keeper-sized lingcod, but did catch our limits for Rockfish and Sole fish. Also hooked onto a couple of Skate!
New motor felt great, we put on 4.5 hours this trip with many more to come this summer!

Minimum size for Lings is 65cm and the limit is 1 of each. It’s closed at the moment though!

Great video fellas! Next time I reccomend you guys bonk the fish, I know it can be tedious with such small fish being caught at such a high frequency but letting them slowly suffocate to death is disrespecful to these fish and certainky a very terrible experience for them Tight lines.
