Watch Ian 'Hutchy' Hutchinson as he blasts his Tyco BMW Superstock machine between the hedges and walls of the famous Isle of Man TT course during practice week.
I used to give him a lift to and from work on the back of a shop demo (where we worked) before he even got in to racing. He was 17, I remember him getting excited when I wheelied up Park Rd in Bingley. If I only knew where he’d be heading 😄
Really cool story. I bet it has kept you very much attached to his career and life over the years. Seems a good lad even after everything he’s been through.
Got to admire Hutchy for his skill, determination and sheer guts - good luck in thr Senior !

Has to be the fastest hedge strimmer i have ever seen .
I don't think my mind could compute all the road information (bends, kerbside etc) at that speed. The mind these road racers must have to instantly process the road ahead at that speed is amazing.
Not wrong, but the key is actually memory. Sometimes I can struggle to remember remember the way around just a short circuit, not sure where those guys find the memory capacity for the TT course. Truly amazing guys.

I do not understand how it is humanly possible for man and machine to travel and react so fast...this is beyond nuts....the track is so long, its almost impossible to remember many of the corners and braking points of the track, but these nut jobs seem to manage somehow ! My hats off to their talent and insanity...this is by far, the most amazing race in the world....I really like the earlier posters comment about needing a wheelbarrow for their balls ! Good one...that about sums it up.

can someone tell me whether you're ever looking at your speedo to determine the right speed for each corner or is it all just feel?
They don't have a speedo, just a rev counter and a water temperature gauge..
I heard one rider say that on the parts of the track that are dark because of trees and what not, he uses the wall and rock formations to remember where to brake, these people are insane
@@rudolphhucker95 they have a speedo. they keep the speedo on superbikes now.
I put my motorbike helmet on when I watch this, get one of my spare pair of mountain bike handlebars, and turn into every corner.

Not fake because fast forward, fake because fisheye lenses make everything look faster. If it had a normal camera perspective you'd see a more reasonable speed, but gotta make the footage look good so they go with wide perspective that blurs and stretches at the sides, giving the illusion of being much, much faster.
