I'm sensing some envy in some of the negative/critical comments. To Mr Fitness: This is an "RC" related vid not a workout routine from your Richard Simmons DVD Boxed Set. C'mon, complaining about the guys breathing? How do you know this man doesn't have a medical issue. The guys got something in the air and he's keeping it there and that's all it's about. Others are diggin it, asking questions and making "✈️ relative comments ✈️" ....... and WTF am I doing, entertaining a Troll? Nice vid, well done. I learned something anyway. Thanks for sharing it.
Cool setup bro. It's actually not all that hard. You need a USB to PPM converter, so you can connect your pc to your TX as a trainer. There are software that can take joystic imputs and convert them to PPM or PWM. If memory serves, you can find something like that on flytron.com
Отличная работа. Я вот тоже 10 лет симился. На всем перелетал. Теперь ищу что-то вроде аппарата на видео. Хочу профессионально заняться съемкой. Мультикоптер, наверное, нужно брать... и вот такой джой с Руд.
do you still have the station? we were wondering if you have to input flight patterns into the auto pilot before take off or is it already programed to fly a pattern until you grab the stick? very cool video!! very cool
Nice Set up , I have a similar system exept for the joystick set up, I use my laptop mouse with google earth to fly as far as my batterys can last, or LRS radio on low setting to get 40km and can see the plane live on google earth with telemetry . I build my own custom systems/electronics , i think i enjoy building them more than flying..
Brilliant... could you please post were we could buy this from. Or if you built it from scratch, which are the components + estimated cost. Great video. Thank you.
My yoke and throttle are quite similar. This is the future. RC is becoming too large and too fast to stand in a cornfield with a control panel balanced on your belly. This is much safer, 100% more fun!
Hello! Congratulations for the video! Could you describe what you used to mount this equipment? What software to put the joystick? All flight information on screen? It was very good!
I have to say thats bad ass!!! definitely something I would make and am in the process of, but I have quads, haven't done a plane yet, but if I do, it will be the reaper drone model, 6' wing span, should scare the hell out of some people!!! ;P
Can you do a tutorial on how you set it up, and how you setup your monitor and computer to show different information like that. If you can't make tutorial please just respond to this comment. By the way you have a awesome setup, great work :)
that is the most fucked up base station ive ever seen. you should make your car into a alien space ship theme and wear a alien costume. imagine the possibiltys
So, umm... So where is it being controlled from then? It isn't from the equipment on screen. Leads me to think it is a live video feed to the 'station' at best, but the controls are for show.
Pretty cool, but why is the artificial horizon so far out of level? It seems like the AH is reading about +15 degrees or so off when the plane is level.
You're right though because I dont make very good paper planes. I made on once in the 6th grade and carelessly threw it out of my classroom window. The damn thing went and wiped-out the entire Russian Air Force by shear accident! I just knew that I was going to get grounded for weeks for that one but my Mom & Dad never found out that it was my paper plane that did it! Lol It was crazy times, I mean it was on the NEWS and everything. PUWAhaha!
Hi Alekandr Akulow, im going to be building one of theres myself and came across this video. I was just wondering how you are using the joy stick's? is it through the mission planner, as when i tried this it was very lagy etc... if you could give me some pro tips i would be very greatfull and if any one elss has some tips send me a message or so on thanks :)
Hay my name is luciano im a engineer and im doing a project and I need a pice like u have [tha whole system] where can I buy it or name off it also the airplane and tm and rc thanks very good job genius
All that set up, and yet the artificial horizon is out by what 20 degrees? And as any experienced RC pilot will tell you, that Joystick is terrible compared to the sticks you will find on just about any regular Transmitter, even the cheapest...It has no feel by comparison......I just don't get it all? Maybe you were weaned on an X Box, that would explain it....Its a good job you are flying a powered glider that can fly itself around, and not a model that requires real piloting skills.....But, 10/10 for making it all way too complex.
I would not agree with statement that Joystick is terrible compared to sticks. "Experienced" rc pilots all steer on sticks for maybe 10years or more, sure they are more comfortable on them. But all jet fighters etc. use joystick, and if you can steer real plane to land on aircraft carrier, I am sure you can also steer rc plane good with it. But when it comes to pc joysticks, quality differnce is huge, in this video you can see saitek x52pro, which I think is great. Aleksandr Akulov, can you tell me what tipe of communication are you using from joystick to plane? Is it rc transmitter and receiver, or you use telemetry connection also for joystick? It seems you have lag.. I am also doing simmilar project, and I use C# written program to grab joystick output, then send data to arduino, which converts them to PPM and send them on dragonlink. I will also implement force feedback, and I will use rasberry pi with 3g, to have telemetry data on long flights..
i could see both points of view here. i am an experienced RC pilot and when im flying, i use a standard type controller. but i will say that the Saitek x52 does provide some excellent functionality. i use the x52 on my flight simulator and love how versatile the programming is. for what this pilot is doing, i would say that he has made an excellent choice. he could even go a bit further into the programming and use the rotary dials for trim. definitely need to work on the horizon indication though. maybe something misaligned? good job though, keep it up!
I am pretty sure that my comment was totally misinterpreted! (My fault for not communicating well),,,, MAYBE? I have been flying R/C planes for about 7 years and now I am flying FPV inside the USA. I see that many folks around the world would like to contribute to the passing laws against FPV pilots inside the US. Thats what I meant. NOW if you come back on me after my explanation then??

prikrasno, simply awesome - NERDTASTIC! This is the best FPV setup I've seen on youtube. One year ago!? How did I not see this till now :P
That's incredible! All you need is a camera that zooms and has FLIR imaging and you have the coolest civilian spy plane ever!
wow already 9 years ago..

finally found what i was imagining
Удобно должно быть, хорошая станция для управления моделью при помощи FPV камеры)))
Almost like a flight simulator set-up for your PC. Cool!
I have the same Saitek X52 pro I use on FSX. Great job integrating it into a RC setup

Nice rig! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome setup well done.

I am trying to do the same thing.. You did an amazing job.. would like to know if you can send me a detail on the setup..
Love the use of the Saitek X-52
cool job man. Awesome! i need to know is what equipment i need to buy and how to build it please.
Ништяк оборудование!
Hello! Congratulations for the video! Could you describe what you used to mount this equipment? What software to put the joystick? All flight information on screen? It was very good!
This is pretty awesome....
Could you explain me what kind of equipment did you use to make that operation station?
Ground station's artificial horizon is out of whack.
I have to say thats bad ass!!! definitely something I would make and am in the process of, but I have quads, haven't done a plane yet, but if I do, it will be the reaper drone model, 6' wing span, should scare the hell out of some people!!! ;P
Sweet setup man.
What osd are you using? I love it
that is great! how did you set it up?
great setup, congratulations !!
Thats pretty awesome!

By the way you have a awesome setup, great work :)
WTF?!?! that joke and throttle looks amazing..!!!!!
Excellent my friend.
its like playing video games in your car :p
Intelligent young Russian , 10 stars
Amazing!!!
looks great dude !!
i like the setup....
what is the interface you are using to convert the joystick to the TX output?
@Spasmomen do you see the bar code of the left frame in the OSD? thats how telemetry is read in this OSD.
are you using GMS aircraft instrument and Made By Vb 6? or Net?
nice setup!!!
nice and clean but whats the fun if you let the computer fly it all the time ?
Por favor me informe o soft ou o eletrônico q vc usa pra ter os instrumentos semelhantes ao real ?
bons voos
Tulio
Boredom goes up to a new level.
This makes me eager to put that napalm mount on my drone. Just kidding of course.
What is the software you are using for the guages and how have you intergrated the joystick & throttle? Thanks
This system looks nice but according to my idea, normal transmitter system more useful !
that is the most fucked up base station ive ever seen. you should make your car into a alien space ship theme and wear a alien costume. imagine the possibiltys
thanks for info
So, umm... So where is it being controlled from then? It isn't from the equipment on screen. Leads me to think it is a live video feed to the 'station' at best, but the controls are for show.
All you need is a pair of AGM-65 Maverick missiles and you're good to go...
Dude are you going to install arms on that thing or something?
Flying joystick, where did you buy?price?
We should play target practice with their new $300,000 FAA authorized drones, if what you said ever becomes the situation.
That is so awesome.... SO DARN AWESOME!! I need to do something similar!!! :)))))
Pretty cool, but why is the artificial horizon so far out of level? It seems like the AH is reading about +15 degrees or so off when the plane is level.
What software are you using to map the servos?
Any feedback on what setup is required to get this fpv station going?
You're right though because I dont make very good paper planes. I made on once in the 6th grade and carelessly threw it out of my classroom window. nicely done!
How did you interface joystick and what kind was it? Can you send me a link to your build plans. Very nice!
I can just tell you that the Joystick is the saitex x52 pro
You can hear a fly in the first few seconds
No, I don't envy a non functioning Artificial horizon.
WAU! COOL!

PPM PWM ENCODER
@Sacha211 how mucht did that cost ?
It is awesome :-)
Which OSD do you use?
hi sir can you make video to make this ground station?sorry for my English iam Indonesians
That artificial horizon doesn't even work!
GREAT BEAUTIFUL BELLISSIMO PRACHTIG NICE
SUBLIME SUPER AMEZING
LOOK TO YOU TUBE
VLIEGEREN MET JOOP VISSER
THANKS JOOP VISSER IN THE NETHERLANDS
Hay my name is luciano im a engineer and im doing a project and I need a pice like u have [tha whole system] where can I buy it or name off it also the airplane and tm and rc thanks very good job genius
sweet one:)
Hey...where do you buy that joy sticks and screens?

Hater. Jealous?
OMG I have the Saitekx52pro, could you pm,link or post me more info on how to learn to adapt it to fly my fpv planes or quad?
Kindly send link for Purchase of the Ground control station
sick!
@12:00 You shouldn't walk away.....your plane is calling you!
way too much free time. how much money did you put into this setup?
its just pictures...but where do you buy it
dat artificial horizon.
now all u need is some heat seekers
very very nice. Too bad its such a small crammed screen
how you connect the joystick to the transmiter?
Dear Santa...
Your bank indicator is really off. Is there any way to calibrate it?
where did you get a setup like this
thats too cool! i'm losing it XDDD
So the red button "centers" the camera servo?
Hek yehhhh!!!!
is amazing
Hard Core. :)
why do you need such a complex and maybe expensive setup for a toy?
WOW :)
The airplane was $200.00 and the Ground Control was $10,000.00, just my guess.
Thats so sick
