Whats with telling us how good the engine sounds, and then not letting us hear it? why o why the insistence on putting music over everything? Lets hear the engine! it's half the reason we ride the things
Yes they do. Griso for one, but if you mean a thoroughbred racing bike, no. Until they go cam chains and overhead shafts they will remain tractors l guess. 🤔😣
Nice review and great to see one of the truly rare (only 308 RS models were made) and classic modern Italian sports bikes getting some attention. One quibble. The engine displaces 992 cc, not the 1064 cc of the push-rod Sport 1100i model. I know because I own an RS. Great bike.
Moto Guzzi always had shaft drive? What about the Stornello? Zigolo? Falcone?? Airone/Tourismo? The list goes on... Don't get me wrong, I love both of my (Norge) shaft drive Guzzi's, but know your history before making claims.
I owned quite some bikes, amongst which some nice Ducatis (916/999/1098). Before those there was a 1100 sport Moto Guzzi. I'm dying to find a second hand one. There is definitely NO other bike with so much charm and "personnality", even if that's an odd word to us for some steel :-)
Not once did we here the sound of the bike! I don't really care whether that reviewer is well known or respected, but he is a to much a motor mouth, particularly because he uses so much exaggeration and macho termonolgy to describe the machine. Then there is the stupid music, why not use the sound of the bike in the back ground??
For the love of God WHY PLAY BAD ELEVATOR MUSIC over on of the most beautiful engine notes ever? I don't know why people can't understand the BIKE is the star not not the talking head and the editor.
Back when you could say White Power suspension without causing offence :D
😆

I couldn't agree more. I love the sound of bikes and we always have to listen to lame shit music.
Agree
It's a crime Guzzi don't make anything like this anymore.
fyorbane true buddy

Guzzi? La migliore sempre!!!
the nerve of who ever copied, produced or whatever not to let us here the beautiful sound of this bike, instead we get this gut spewing music.
Fuck...... He talked incessantly about how good the engine sounds and then played terrible music over the video... Pathetic..

...on the cc's: YES! same engine as my '98 Centauro - pretty much everything else 'cept body work.
And there were only 195 1997 Daytona RS s Made and only 34 imported into north America.I also have one
Raceco limited edition engine, one of three he said.

Magnifique bécane !
Guzzi! vite ,sortez nous en une nouvelle Daytona
Im lucky enough to own one, massive grin factor when i ride it!
What no engine sound? Pah!
2:51 I prefer to liken them to pint glasses.......which is actually fairly accurate :)
I had a Red/white stripped Guzzi centauro sport.
£5000 Ex demo from Norfolk dealer.
After 2 years nobody would take it in part exchange.

The last bike what yamaha type?
We never got to hear the engine. Why?
That’s one reason I prefer Guzzis to Triumphs in England. Shaft drive. No point in having chain drives in England with our ‘gloriously shite’ weather.
Under head cam I thought and they invented the suspension system not bmw is also what I thort
